Help with translating a video from Deutsch
tomos:
Well done Stephan :)
haven't learnt that one: to "give the eye" -
you'd know I'm not single since I started learning german
And the poor woman with the glasses - she really got freaked I think
That they told her she could be seen when she had the glasses off ;D
Cruel but brilliant ...

My translator means that's the same like the german: "Er hat ein Auge auf sie geworfen"
i.e. to flirt with someone
I found now additionally this translation: "to gallivant"
> you'd know I'm not single since I started learning german
to speak german help you here, yes? :-* :P

literally means "he threw an eye on her"
[I suppose to say "I gave her the eye" could be construed fairly gruesomely as well :)]
"to gallivant"
dunno is that one used so much any more!
when we were growing up it used to be used like:
"what are you doing gallivanting all over town"
I never knew it actually meant like flirting - just thought of it like galloping or something!
from www.dictionary.com1. to wander about, seeking pleasure or diversion; gad.
2. to go about with members of the opposite sex..
