Also I need to improve my reading speed.
I wish freeware apps for desktop (if not for mobile too) to improve my speed reading.
I have seen some online resources and my speed is about 226 words by minute.

General Software Discussion / Manage the display in the laptop

I am a little in despair with the screen options, the energy options.

So these are my need :
1. In my laptop turn off the display while the download continue. So don't enter in suspension, only turn off the display after a time.
2. Except of course if I am not plug connected to electricity.

At the present moment :
1. I have bad configured something. So the screen never turn off. I usually put in mininum of brillance with the keyboard option . F2 key .
2. I am using an app Radial menu v4 for turning off the display before I leave, but sometimes when I come back the display is on.

I will edit the post in a while after locate the display configuration, and energy configuration options.

Non-Windows Software / Samsung J5 and free memory in the phone memory

I don't understand.
I have less apps than in my other mobile Samsung J3 and less space.
I have examined one by one the folder in the phone folder and only the whatsapp weigths about 1.50 GB. the rest less than 1 MB .
But only 890 MB available of 10.8 GB !!!!
Is there hidden folders ?
How can I solve my problem ?

do you know the very best one ?

I suppose in Europe will be an app for Spain, but I don't know at the present time. I don't see TV or similar, so I ask....

I am trying again (and again) to lose weight .

Here we are with the coronavirus crisis.

So.

I need to talk to someone !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is possible use an android mobile device to talk with other next mobile devices ?. Can I establish a sort of channel between two to ten participants . A sort of group to discuss while we are walking maintaining the security distance (12 meters or less is enough.... ) .

Obviously you can do this with a whatsapp group, sending audio messages, but I try with no cost because i have no data in my mobiles.

I remember hear about a touristic application for guides consisting in give the explanations with the use of a mobile device.

Is a sort of private (or public anyway) communications between a group very near by bluetoooth or similar method.

Do you have the app for this ?

I am using sometimes a public wifi.
With windows 10 home you never know if you have the connection active or not.
On my laptop.
Recently I installed Evernote and sometimes appear a window indicating a problem with a certificate and this seems a sympton I have not active wifi internet connection. But in the tray icon seems there is connection.

I Know is difficult an utility to reconnect to a free wifi with a necessary login, but I would like to know at least if I am connected or not.

Can you do that ?

In pspad I have the option to undone the last change with control+z as usual.
I change a file very often and the backup is not useful I think. Besides may be an answer to several programs. Include Microsoft Word.

Can I have an AHK script to go back or undone in the opened file x times ? Do and undone with flexibility is better because we don't know how many keystrokes control+z are necessary until reach the target...

The point is :
In the future i am migrating the desktop from windows 8.1 to 10.
At the present moment I have windows 10 in the laptop.
And very happy with windows 10. As usual many programs require special configurations to run correctly. CreateShortCutsIn from ewemoa (skwire) seems to me one of them.

I have preferred open a new post to consider the possibility of a reg file or similar to quick configuration option. Or is possible adapt the ahk code to more general configurations.

I have revised the very long post to see my problem.

After a great struggle downloading the main executable with my bad connection (just because reanudate produces beginning again from the very beginning....)

But looks good.

It seems a new generation of browser with a social network in gap.com That is another way of distraction. Or may be useful. I don't know.

I have begin to try this program. Obviously a good one. The worst part as usual is the user : that's me !.
I need some help.
I am trying the htm help included in the program, but don't understand.

My main PROBLEM is with this :

Default hotkeys:

·         Rbutton (right mouse button):

-          Drag down and hold to show radial menu, release it to select item.

-          Drag in other directions to execute mouse gestures. Drag up shows Navigator.

·         Lbutton (left mouse button): shows/hides submenus


What is the meaning of : "Drag down and hold" . I can see the menu.
I can access the radial menu designer from the icon in the windows tray.

I have change the password but I can't see how to change to spanish or english in any step.

I tried in russian with firefox to enter in the option I can't select from Chrome with good result.

Notes : At the present moment I have migrated to windows 10+last version of firefox.

During the hacking I was using windows 8.1+last firefox version.

In an excel workbook with several worksheets after create a target worksheet a script able to collect by copying the content of each existing worksheet and pasting in the target worksheet by order.

Pasting at the end of the target worksheet

Any script tha make a quick selection of the worksheet is also useful. Any help to make easier the process is welcome.
I am doing copying and pasting from one worksheet to the target one.

General Software Discussion / Frozen window in windows explorer

Windows 10 home 64
I don't know exactly how I arrive the situation.
I can't move that window
I can't click anywhere in that window
Obviously i can't close, minimize or maximize that window.

You can open other windows folder and goes well, but that ones you can do nothing
Through the task administrator if you close the folder don't obey, we need reiniate the windows explorer to make that problematic window dissappear.

 
What mistery is this  ?

I have 13 sheets in an excel workbook. Format xls.
I want to join, merge or combine the 13 sheets in only one.
I have tried to select all but moving or copying give not the target.
How can I do that with a free utility ?

Note : I have tried two utilities from vba code in commercial pages, but don't work. So I would the correct code with no problems.

General Software Discussion / Webbrowser for a special ocassion (virtualbox - guest xp pro)

I have several old virtual machines running under windows xp pro + sp3 with IE 7
At the present moment i can't see many pages, including my own web page (a blogspot....) .

so I would like to solve my problem installing :

a) a portable browser inside the virtual machine.  Sharing a folder outside, in one of my data disks.
b) a system browser inside the virtual machine.

Note : The web browser I use everyday is Firefox.
But for the ocassion I don't need special or relevant features. Even those important ones like to share passwords, favourites, etc.

 



Note : I need simply good advice. I can risk in my own way http://www.xpbrowsers.com/ , but this is not the target.

If you know a good browser for the ocassion I will adopt.

Living Room / Connector SAS

I am willing to buy another hard drive disk.

One is a NVMe m.2 ssd of 1 TB and the other a mechanical HDD up from 6 TB.

I have a motherboard Asus Z-170K .
I don't know if have SAS connector.
I assume that the conector are SATA type. SATA3

Do you know if I can connect a SAS hard drive ?
