We're sorry, eMusic is not available in your country.
We know everyone everywhere loves music and we want to bring the world of music to everyone. But we have to play by the rules and there are many when it comes to the global distribution of music.
Unfortunately, due to licensing restrictions we are unable to offer service in your country at this time. We understand that you are currently in Australia (your IP address If this is not where you will be using eMusic, please send an email to [email protected].

A frequently encountered refrain, which grows increasingly annoying. That's reason 1.
Reason 2 is that I USED to have an account with emusic, then cancelled when their policies changed. I was reluctant to rejoin - emusic has now taken the decision out of my hands anyway.

Thanks Innuendo, in that case I ought not go down the buying route I guess.
(Though on second thoughts, I wonder what's the difference between buying it from X, as opposed to appointing X as my agent to purchase on my behalf)

I would really like to get hold of the track "Midnight Sun" from Jessica Williams' album High Standards (1996).
Its available at Emusic, but not to me. Would happily pay / trade (assuming that's legal - if not, wouldn't even think of doing it).

that sounds a great system for you, but if I'm honest with myself, I KNOW sloth triumphs over any other considerations apart from greed perhaps.
So I really know that I will only ever do stuff when I'm forced to, regardless of system. My to-do lists are really just play/me having a lend of myself.
My final consideration for your system, apart from my main motivators of sloth and greed, there's cowardice, which would come into play when my much feared wife saw mouldy, fungus covered notes all over one of her doors....maybe your system could work for me after all!

... I always saw these things more as stuff to put on the back. Glossary and all that.

Funny how different minds work, I never thought of it that way round
