Stop clicking on shit before I read the instructions.
;D  Happened to me just the other day, couldn't quite remember why I had downloaded TunnelVision or just what it did...

(But afterward I had great fun in the office with it! :P

There are lots of programs to do pieces of the things you want, but nothing I know of that puts them all together.

* Scheduled reboots by Poweroff
* Multiple reboots by Rebooter
* Boot into safe mode by BootSafe

Poweroff at least has a very good command line so you could script most of its actions as desired.

Now, everyone silently send up an appropriate word of thanks to Mr. Gates for his decision to hide file extensions by default.

This stuff is the bomb.  It makes a lot of awkward stuff easy.  Listen, it costs nothing for non-commercial use, you owe it to yourself to give it a try if you use Excel and you value your time.  I started by using a bunch of the text functions for formatting:

and the other categories are just as powerful and varied.

Maybe, after installation, before the first time older screenshots are moved into the archive folder, you could pop up a dialog to ask the user how he would like it handled.  One question, one time, and then the user is aware of it and can change the setting later if he wishes.
