Living Room / Re: In-Car Emergency Kit - Your Recommendations

I would recommend a green laser pointer or two - they're cheap, and if you are out of sight of the road for some emergency, the beam could help locate where you are. Or use it for a star pointer (as my son calls it) and point out the constellations before you head off to sleep.

G
I heard God still uses VAX/VMS because it never crashes.  All those planets and suns twirling around you don't want a system that hard locks.  We'd be in The Spilled Milky Way if that happened.

Not Glorious Lifeform and Deity Operating System? I hear it's a piece of cake to keep running.

I still like FreeFileSync with the caveat that it has an OpenCandy installer.

Why Procrastinators Procrastinate

General Software Discussion / Re: Opening ost files with Outlook 2013
« on: January 23, 2016, 01:23 PM »
An OST file is not the same as a PST file. It's a local copy of your mailbox, but in a mangled, dysfunctional format. :P

PST files are bad enough but at least you can open them directly. There are a number of tools around to convert OST to PST but I think they all cost. FWIW I have used Kernel tools a lot and they work well, their OST recovery tool would surely do what you need.

That said if you just want to find something, they have a free OST viewer program, one of their free tools.
