To my understanding, once the docs are indexed, the indexer will only look out for changes.

Maybe...
I don't know about WDS, but X1 seems to to a lot of work even for minimal changes. But it might be because I have around 57.000 files indexed.
I won't complain to much though : I love the detailed search options I get with X1 and the accurate results.

What are your computers' specs like ?

I know that the post in general is referring to Launchy (which I tried before FARR and didn't like as much) but I just tested the Outlook shortcuts listed here with FARR and they work well:

Cool!

I've just created a couple alias with these. Great!

Thanks a lot!

I wonder where we could find other fine commands like these for Outlook ? (like looking for a contact, or stuff like that...)

Sounds very cool. I'll have to check that out.  Thanks for posting it.

I haven't got the time to check it out yet.

The 260 characters limit has always bothered me since I like long file names (i put lots of keywords -- tags --in my file names, BUT I have very simple directory structures : perfect for FARR and desktop search tools...). The problem is that I always fear that i'll do something stupid with my directory structure at somepoint, and access to my files would become... difficult.
Anyway...

Did you try NTFSpath?
