General Review Discussion / Re: Desktop streamming review ?

Just saw this thread... I use a program called Synchroneyes on my computer lab at an elementary school.  It has a lot of nice features, and when I get a chance I'll do a mini-review of it.

I love how Knytt is tied to Within a Dark Forest.  Really cool!

I was getting ready to go to bed last night, and fired up Within a Dark Forest just to check it out.  What was supposed to be a 10-15 minute diversion turned into more than an hour, and then even more time playing his other games.

I used to live in an area where the closest libary was a 45 drive, and even then it was little more than an 18 wheeler trailer on blocks.  So, even if the library was willing and able to get books from other libraries, it would still take me 1 1/2 hours to get there, pick up the book, and get back home.

I agree that I wouldn't want to pay to borrow books, and luckily I now have access to a major university library, but I still think this service could be very useful to some people.

Hello,

My name is Carl Thorpe.  I teach computers at an elementary school in Texas.  All students from Kindergarten through fourth grade come to the computer lab.  I am currently working on full teaching certification, and I hope to be teaching in a regular classroom next year.

I have been using computers for more than 20 years.  I am interested in integration of technology and education, especially as it pertains to young children.  My hobbies include reading and watching movies.

I have a batch file in my SendTo folder that does what you want:

@dir %1 /-p /o:gn > "%temp%\dir.txt"
start notepad "%temp%\dir.txt"

You can, of course, modify the dir command as you see fit.

Then in explorer, right click on the folder you want a list of, and send it to the batch file.

Could be useful for someone who doesn't have access to a good library.

I would love to get the discount voucher if it is still available.
