Living Room / Re: How to use a pantograph for duplication?
« on: January 16, 2022, 03:57 AM »
In the center?  Where is the center?

in the below the centre/anchor would be at pivot 1, and for one to one reproduction you would put the pencil at the end of one arm, and the tracing point at the end of the other

Hi.  I understand this is quite an old post but I am hoping that an email will be sent to notify of a new reply...

In the above, I get the bit about the centre for the anchor position (pivot 1) but if the tracer and pencil are put at the end of the long arms at the bottom left and right (Arm A and Arm B) then all you would be able to trace/draw is an arc about the anchor point.

I too am trying to use a pantograph type setup to duplicate 1:1

Please advise
