General Software Discussion / Move/Copy files with script
« on: September 13, 2023, 02:43 AM »
I have recurring tasks of moving and copying files from one path to another.
I would like to have a desktop shortcut (maybe even put it in the Windows task planner), where you just double click and the files are getting moved/copied.
I know, this can be done with a batch and robocopy, but i would like to have a progressbar and propper errorhandling.
Something like TeraCopy (there are many more programms that can copy/move files), but with the ability to call it from a file/batch/link, whatever.

Another idea to improve the windows context menu.

From time to time I sort my "Downloads" folder or any other folder and the stuff needs to go to specific folders.
It would be nice to have a context entry "move to" and then select a predefined target folder from a list.

I found a good start for that in another forum tenforums
But there they have some minor issues (some say it just works for files and not for folders, others say it doesn't move a complete folder, just the contents.
And it would be nice to easily add and remove that menu entry and have a gui with folder selector for the target, set a nicname for the target and add separators.

Similar to that example picture:

Post New Requests Here / IDEA: Copy picture to clipboard
« on: January 17, 2022, 09:01 AM »
Often I want to copy an image to the clipboard, that I can insert it into Outlook (or other programms).
But when I use
strg + c
then I get the image as attachment and not as Image in my text.

The only sollution for me, so far, is that I open the image with the image editor from screenpresso (my screenshot tool) and there is a function "copy to clipboard" and then it works.

I would like to have another "function" in my windows context menu, beneath: cut, copy, paste. Maybe copy to clipboard or so.
It would be great if it would be that simple like "Enfolder from publicdomain", to add and remove that function from the windows context menu.

Hi,
Im searching for an application, that shows up with a shortcut and then let me choose one of many prestored textblocks from a database (maybe with a short name, and the text that will be inserted, eg: Signature: Average Joe, Phone:+1234567) and automatically inserts it, wehere my cursor currently is.

Background:
In my daily live I have to work with several tools, documents, e.g., where I often have to enter the same strings, over and over again, after some weeks these texts may change.
Until now, I store them in a notepad, and copy them, but it's very anoying with all those clicks.

Anybody knows such tool?

Android Apps / Which Android Emulator
« on: May 07, 2021, 02:27 AM »
Which Android Emulator do you use?
All I found are complicated to install or do not work as expected.
Yours look very clean and without adds.

Could you suggest your emulator? Then we could try your Apps on PC as well.
