Sorry. It's http://polski8.suddenlaunch.com  And that advice helped a little, but I'm still getting the same error on the site, and some errors about script errors asking me if I want to continue running scripts on this page. It happens intermittently. Got to be either some bad code somewhere or I can't interpret it right for some reason. CC cleaner did just about what I thought it would do. It found more errors than there are users of Microsoft, offered to fix them, but didn't fix anything, just deleted the entries. Kind of like the old lady trying to heal a cold with chicken soup "can't hurt."

I also un-installed and re-installed both Java and IE6, so it's got to be a bad script somewhere in something.

And thanks in advance for the help. I'll donate something on the 10th when I get paid again.

Trying it now. I'll let you  know how it works. By the way, I have this exact same reply screen on my board, and here is where I get the errors, no smileys, no little boxes on top, just a stupid error, so I am beginning to think it might be their problem. On yours everything is enabled, no errors or script problems. Thanks.

I have a board at http://polski8,suddenlaunch.com and yesterday I began getting a message that my browser is not compatible with their extra features. I use EI 6. I get the same message on their homesite at http://suddenlaunch.com . I asked their support forum for help and they told me that javascript is turned off in my browser, and that I needed to re-install it. I re-installed IE 6 and java and checked it out with Sunjava. There is no problem with any other page or forum, none at all with yours. I have gotten a couple of errors about scripts not being able to run 2 or 3 times in a 12 hour period on the internet.

They still claim it is in my own browser and that there is a problem with the script or script engine. I downloaded all the stuff there was to download at http://mdgx.com (Axel's Max Speed) and all of his links. They are quite adamant about it being my problem and not theirs, and are getting a bit nasty.

So how can I fix this problem, or download a fix, or a better copy of javascript or check it out myself?

I went to  http://www.anybrowse....com/validateit.html and did a test on my site and on theirs. the results are identical. Here is a link to the report, if you want to see alll of the errors THEY have.

I work in a factory in Dickson, TN. The plant manager has a 9 year old daughter who is learning to use the internet at school, and chats with her friends online at home, on approved sites. The manager heard that I know about computers, and shared with me that he had been busy at something else, so he asked his daughter to look up a transmission shop for him. She typed in "trannies" and you KNOW what she got! They were both shocked. He asked me if there was some sort of program which is user-configurable which would catch certain words, or combination of words or numbers (house numbers, personal phone numbers, etc.) which, when caught, would immediately stop the application and flash a warning, possibly until backspace is pressed, or a password is given or key combination is pressed. He would like it to catch incoming as well as outgoing, as in when his daughter chats, he wants to know who might be asking for her number or address, as well as stopping her from giving it, and possibly stopping the question itself. There would also have to be some way to quickly by-pass the word-catcher, as there might be something totally harmless but will nevertheless be caught. He has tried Net Nanny and programs like that, but they are either too restrictive, not restrictive enough, or aren't user configurable enough.

When I surf the internet, sometimes I click on a pictures, or other files, which go into a default directory--not the files I regularly download, just the ones i "save as." The problem is that whenever I save something, every site seems to use the exact same names.
Is there some sort of utility that will auto rename files saved in this way? I am really tired of all the dialogs and renaming, and hoping I didn't use the name before. I already use Supercopier, which is great for copy and move, but is thereanything out there which will do the same thing for "save as?"

I love Supercopier! I have had no problems with it at all. I know what the problem is with the dialog. I doesn't really mess up your system.

The problem is that Supercopier deletes the normal registry entries then re-creates them into it's own key. When you uninstall Supercopier, it deletes all of the Supercopier keys from the registry, hence the commands are gone. So the simple solution is to download one of the free programs on Shell Extention City (shellcity.net) and run it. there are about 6 of them which add the commands back in for you, or to back up the registry key into a .reg file, then when you uninstall Supercopier, just double-click on your backup to add the commands back in.

I'm going to ask for something on a new thread, but since it is almost the same, I might as well ask here, too.

What I would like is some sort of utility which would rename files being downloaded from the internet which have the same name. I do have a download manager which does this, but I do right click on some photos or other types of files, and choose "save as." Seems like every site on the internet all name their files the same name. Is there some sort of utility which will automatically rename them if the file already exists, without all sorts of dialog, warnings and questions?

I personally use "enditall2." it will end any and/or all of the programs on your computer, all os's supported. It will force a program by program shutdown, and keep at it until the program is closed. Of course, you have to execute it first, then shut down. You also have the option of protecting certain programs from ever being shut down, and there are some which are protected by default so you won't crash your system. so if you have programs that you know will hang, protect the rest, execute enditall2, and the rest will stay up until you decide to close normally. Very useful if you have memory problems with too many trs's and you want to run graphics-heavy software or games. If you later decide to un-protect a program, just highlight it, hit protect again, and it becomes unprotected. Maybe someone knows of a shut-down utility which will automatically run enditall2 first, then shut down your computer if you don't like 2 extra clicks.
