dopus does what most file managers do, but again its not what I need

it has the viewer pane thingie

hitting enter or delete in viewer pane types a newline or deletes, its not "viewer pane" this thing is called text editor!

moreover, when I select a file and I watch in the viewer that I want to delete it, and then I delete it, it doesnt go to the next file!!! it removes the focus!!!

I used irfan viewer with all the plugins

as for the V-file viewer, does it really do what I say or I cant make it work?

what it does is to view the files inside a folder NOT to view the text of the files

kalos - I'm not clear on what you are asking here? Do you mean that you can open a file in Windows Picture Viewer and then advance through the following files by hitting enter and would like to be able to do this with plain text files?

exactly, but ofcourse Windows Picture Viewer cant open text files, I need another program to do it

PS: irfanviewer, xnviewer, dont work

I'm sure IrfanView can load text files?? Well, pretty sure  :-[

General Software Discussion / browse text files
« on: August 31, 2007, 03:00 AM »
hello

consider "Windows Picture Viewer"

it opens the image files inside a folder and browses throught them by hitting ENTER

hitting DELETE deletes the currently viewed file

is there a program to do this for TXT files?

PS: irfanviewer, xnviewer, dont work

PS: they are actualy files that contain plain text only

thanks

General Software Discussion / links collector
« on: July 08, 2007, 12:20 AM »
hello

1)
is there a way to grab and store (in a txt file) all the "links" or "urls in the text" of all the webpages I visit, that contain a specific string eg urls like www.*.com/*.pdf ?

the program must scan the text and links of all the webpages I visit and if it finds an url of the above mask, it should store it (in a text file)

2)
I would like a program that will store (in a text file) the urls of the webpages I visit that match a specific mask eg www.google.com/*

thanks!

General Software Discussion / Re: mouse/key associations
« on: November 05, 2006, 05:11 AM »
thanks

as for
Double-click on an empty space = create folder
this works well, but there is a delay which is annoying

#IfWinActive ahk_class CabinetWClass

~LButton::
SetKeyDelay, , 50
MouseGetPos, , , , ctrl
ControlGet, sel, List, Count Selected, SysListView321, A
If DllCall("GetDoubleClickTime") > A_TimeSincePriorHotkey
   and A_ThisHotkey = A_PriorHotkey
   and ctrl = "SysListView321"
   and sel = 0
   SendEvent, !fwf

#IfWinActive

as for the other programs, I will check them out, but I wouldnt like resources-consuming programs and replacement of winxp defaults

opera yes, can do that by middle click, but I dont have middle button
plus I would like the others (save images, bookmark links etc) cannot be done within opera

I find it strange that these cannot be done, since autohotkey, autoit etc are supposed to integrate within every API and thus they can integrate within every function of windowsxp/applications. correct me if I am wrong

I think the only limitation in what one can do with ahk is user capabilities/knowledge

General Software Discussion / question about DoOver
« on: October 28, 2006, 03:32 AM »
hello

1)DoOver enables me to do anything autohotkey or autohide can do, even if I dont know to script? is it some kind of GUI scripting for autohotkey/autoit? or its for limited occasions only?

2)can DoOver convert the recorded macro into a text file to see the script code?

thanks!

General Software Discussion / mouse/key associations
« on: October 28, 2006, 03:24 AM »
hello

I would like to associate right/left mouse clicks with specific actions

eg:

right click on recycle bin = empty recycle bin (context menu should be blocked and only appear if I press for instance ctrl+right.click)

right click link in the browser = open link in new background tab (context menu should be blocked and only appear if I press ctrl+right.click)

right click on image in a webpage (image that is not at the same time a link) = save image (context menu should be blocked and only appear if I press ctrl+right.click)

double click on an empty space in a folder = create new folder

also, mouse gestures would be nice, especially to be able to associate drag-n-drop of the mouse with some actions

is it possible?

thanks

General Software Discussion / really good spell check tool wanted
« on: October 28, 2006, 03:21 AM »
hello

I would like a program to check the text I type in every application (text editor, web browser, etc) and to be able to include/exclude applications

I want to check the spelling and either correct it on-the-fly, or the program to suggest me about possible corrections (with a nice dropdown menu or something)

I want to be able to use my own custom dictionary

I want it to work with a non-english and English language at the same time (2 or more dictionaries loaded) but ofcourse, not to do the double time or use the double system resources to check some text
it should recognize the language I type each time (I change keyboard languages with ctrl+alt) and use the relevant only dictionary to perform spell check (so it wont load two dictionaries each time)

I want it to autocorrect/autoreplace specific text (replace it on-the-fly) with some other text I specify, and I must be able to specify this text using wildcard/regex (althouth many programs have autocorrect features, no one supports wildcards/regex and thus they are very limited)

I want to type something and the program to autocomplete the words I begin to type like OpenOffice does (openoffice's is nice, if there is anything better it would be ok)
autocomplete should monitor the most frequently used words in the specific document and suggest them first or globally (in all documents) monitor most frequently used words

I hope I will find a solution here!

thanks
