You seem to want the editor to decide where to put your cursor if you click on the middle of a character. right?

no, this is not my intention

You click in the left "region" of a character you want the cursor to move left.  You click the right "region" of a character you want the cursor to move right.  Does that explain what you are looking for?

yes, this is what I want, and what IBeam does by default

the problem was that trying to create a new cursor with a cursor editor, resulted in a cursor that needed some "calibration", ie it didnt do the above (click on the left region of the character should place the cursor at the left of the character)

please remove the .txt extension from the below:

I try to create a new cursor (I-Beam), with one cursor editor, but I cant find the exact center of the cursor

the center means this:

to place the cursor a bit right of the vertical line of T and (by clicking) move the caret to the right, and then place the cursor a bit left of the vertical line of T and (by clicking) move the caret to the left

the same goes with the horizontal center as well, with the up/down edge to be the space between one line and its below line

EDIT: I suppose the best way is to edit the default IBeam of windows, but I cant find the file, anyone knows it?

this is very nice

is it possible to remove the black brackets, make the white animated one black and stop its animation?

this is what I need thanks!

however, I didnt find a 'discreet' IBeam to replace it... an IBeam that wont hide much the underlying letter, maybe a dot? any idea?

EDIT: or another solution would be to make the IBeam always be between two characters (and not over any character)

there are some "cursor editors" that allow you to change cursor appearance, but I dont know how to make it work when the cursor is under a specific control

a feature of a 'clever' spell checker would be to sort possible words that should replace the mispelled ones, according to their usage in the text :)

ok, but it will be a waste of time to go to the toolbar in order to make the cursor appear

is it possible to replace IBeam with a "1/3 of the IBeam" vertical line, a dot, an underscore or something like these?

sirs, I like so much google's spell checker

look what it can do:

it offers to correct:
"goo dmorning" to "good morning"
"monring" to "morning"
"mor ning" to "morning"

isnt it "clever"? which spell checker can do these?

mm unfortunately taking screenshots makes cursor disappear

the font I use is Verdana 9 and the IBeam may hide the below character very easily...
this is a very big problem for me that I check the spelling of the document and I often correct single characters

thanks

but my main problem is this:

when I type in a specific control (classnn) the IBeam hides the character below it (mainly the character I want to edit, so I move the IBeam over there)

I think there are 2 solutions: I must either make IBeam disappear or change its appearance so that it wont hide any characters (eg make it an underscore or anything better)

if I make it disappear, how then, I will be able to go to the exact position I need to edit characters of the text?
to prevent this, it should disappear ONLY when I am typing
but the problem still exists: when I am not typing, IBeam may hide a character (the one below the IBeam)

so, I think making cursor change appearance (like PSpad does) would be much better, however I dont know which appearance it should have not to hide the character below it and at the same time to point precisely to the position that the next typed character will be entered

maybe a dot, a small vertical line, an underscore... I cant imagine something good

please feel free to suggest any other solutions to this problem

thanks

I've been using JBidWatcher and I love it. Best of all it's FREE
It has user definable tabs to keep track of different auction groups (either in progress or completed). The sniping feature works very well. The user interface is lightweight, easy to navigate and customizable. Time Sync with Ebay servers. Can set up a table of multiple searches, each of which can be scheduled as either one time or on a repeat timer.

The author states at the bottom of the home page "Unlike other bid management software, it is EXTREMELY flexible in its formatting, which has let it survive with virtually no changes to the web-page extraction code over the last two years of eBay's constant fluctuation of formatting.

This has been a source of frustration for me using other tools, and I am impressed that JBidWatcher has worked so well for me for so long without any bugs or problems that I've seen. I'm not usually a fan of Java programs, but this one has been a winner for me.
Check it out..

sir I use this too, but why I cant have the shipping column displayed?
