In several years coding in Delphi i had never any complaint about an AV and a Delphi exe, but several false positives with UPX... so i'm with mouser on this one.

BTW: one more to add to 8. Games: https://www.kickstar...underworld-ascendant

If there is anyone out there who loved Ultima Underworld, System Shock, Thief, ... or who thinks that Looking Glass was one of the best game making software studios out there: Paul Neureuth and Warren Spector are doing one more game  :D

Have a look!

even if the drive used is 2.5" its likely able to do more than 32MB/s (where do tomshardware get that figure from, anyway? While you're not going to reach full theoretical speed, USB2 is 480mbit/s or 60MB/s).
The theoretical maximum given in the standard is 49.152.000 Byte/s (Isochronous Mode) or 53.248.000 Byte/s (Bulk-Mode) (from Wikipedia), in reallity you will see no more than 40 MB/s. This given 32 MB/s seems to be very well for me...   8)

On XP there is "runas". And since SP2(?) there is a commandline switch called /savecred. Now create a batch file to start one of the myriads of Explorer alternatives (TC, Altap Salamander, WinCommander,...: hey, they are all better then Explorer  8) ) with "runas /user:administrator /savecred MyExplorerAlternative". On the first run you will be asked for the admin password, but for the following time you will have a convinient way to use admin rights without any questions (like sudo on unix)...

I use this on my home PC every time i need admin rights.

General Software Discussion / Re: Best password manager?
« on: December 10, 2007, 01:04 AM »
I'm using KeePass right now. For anything that KeePass does not do on its own (like starting something and then doing autotype) i'm using AutoHotKey (hey, how can you live without it?).

Best thing on KeePass: there is a WinMobile App and the .kdb-file can be sync'd with my PDA  :-*

IMHO WarFTPD is the best free ftp server (for windows...)

Yep, this one seems to solve this problem!

Thank you very much  :-*

BTW: do you sleep sometimes?!?  :)

ok, i did some testing with this version: i created a new file, added some groups filled with some commands (see stage1). Then i added step by step three additional entrys above the existing groups (stage2 to stage4)

See yourself in the attached screenshots...

When i delete a node, everything works fine.

20
i added two snapshots

as you can see, after inserting two new nodes, the content of the third group is displayed in the first and second group too following the insertion point.

21
When i'm doing some editing about the structure if my launchbar, the shown content of groups becomes wrong.

Example: i have some root level item folowed by some groups. The group contents are not visible ("+" sign in front). Now i add some items to the content above these groups (using context menu). When i'm now opening a group (switching the + sign), the wrong content is displayed. After closing Prefs and reopening, everything is fine again.

Bye, Peter
