In Firefox I get the installer and run it rather than using the updater. The Mozilla page has that installer stub. I prefer the whole installer.-MilesAhead (September 23, 2015, 08:31 AM)
It's so simple!

The influence of sonic waves traveling through liquids was first reported by Robert Williams Wood (1868–1955) and Alfred Lee Loomis (1887–1975) in 1927.

I mostly just use ImgBurn when I need to create or burn a disc image, but what do you use if you want to burn MP3s to an Audio CD?-Deozaan (September 11, 2015, 06:36 PM)
I'm going to hold off purchasing for now, because it still has a long way to go, and needs some major optimization to run smoothly, etc., but I'll definitely keep my eye on it for future updates and see if they ever deliver on a finished product. Too many Early Access games that show some promise end up either giving up before it's finished (and releasing a beta as a final 1.0 release) or completely changing the game from what was promised, disappointing those who bought in early.-Deozaan (August 30, 2015, 01:09 AM)
I like the game. And considering how many hours of entertainment I've gotten out of it already, I think it's probably worth the cost.-Deozaan (September 01, 2015, 06:54 PM)
And this is the reason I usually don't try them... unless I'm thinking of imminently purchasing, or the size is small. Downloading a demo to the tune of multi-GB downloads just doesn't seem productive to me.-wraith808 (August 29, 2015, 12:08 PM)
Now the core Guild Wars 2 game (non-expansions) is free for everyone, permanently:-Deozaan (August 29, 2015, 03:30 PM)
But I'll definitely give it a try during the free weekend and see what I think.
@lanux thanks for posting this! I probably would have missed it.-Deozaan (August 28, 2015, 03:28 PM)
I take it you're recommending it? Why? What do you like about it? Just curious... I've been thinking, but it's priced too high right now for me to take a chance on it with the limited things I've seen.-wraith808 (August 28, 2015, 01:23 PM)
We want the player community's help to 'evolve' ARK into the dinosaur world game that we've been dreaming about since the days we played with plastic green T-Rex toys during elementary school recess, since we shed a tear to 'The Land Before Time', since we wistfully imagined the towering cities of 'Dinotopia', and since we nearly choked on our popcorn to the thrills of 'Jurassic Park'.
I have. It does exactly what it says. Which is more than you probably think it does. It basically returns Chrome to the just installed state. Everything. Including profiles, bookmarks... everything. I thought it was just to remove bad things. But it removes EVERYTHING. Can you tell I was a bit pissed when I used it?-wraith808 (August 19, 2015, 12:46 PM)
I've also been using Bandizip - not bad at all. What I really miss though are commandline parameters.
Seems like the situation is not likely to change anytime soon:

So, what does the 64bit release bring to the table?-f0dder (August 12, 2015, 04:42 PM)
Advantages of IrfanView 64-bit over 32-bit version:
• It can load VERY large files/images (image RAM size over 1.3 GB, for special users)
• Faster for very large images (25+ Megapixels, loading or image operations)
• Runs only on a 64-bit Windows (Vista, Win7, Win8, Win10)
Advantages of IrfanView 32-bit over 64-bit version:
• Runs on a 32-bit and 64-bit Windows
• Loads all files/images for normal needs (max. RAM size is about 1.3 GB)
• Needs less disc space
• All PlugIns will work: not all PlugIns are ported (yet) to 64-bit (like OCR) and some 32-bit PlugIns must be still used in the 64-bit version, some with limitations (see the "Plugins32" folder)
• The Unicode and many Adobe 8BF PlugIns can't work on 64-bit
• The TWAIN drivers with 64-bit support are rare

Note: some of the apps i'm using i'm just using because i'm too lazy to move to something better, so don't take my choices as my recommendations for best tools.-mouser (August 10, 2015, 01:42 AM)
