I get the same thing when I start up screeenshot Captor on my laptop. I am running XP Tablet PC Edition (basically professional edition). Not just Vista.
Only happens on first start of SC per restart (as far as I can tell - not entirely sure...)

This looks like a great idea. I, for one, am very interested. It did seem to be getting very complicated towards the end; I agree that it should be simplified. As for how it would be placed, how about just having it come up via hotkey as just a window with the cheat sheet in it instead of anything complicated. I might post a pic later of how I see this working in my mind, but looks great.

Yeah, SiteAdvisor (kind-of?) does what you're thinking of. Well, at least is integrated, and easy to check before you do anything...
As for signup on sites, I have a spam email address and use BugMeNot whenever possible. DC, for instance, is a trusted site, so gets my real address, but that might not be trustworthy goes to spam.
