Clipboard Help+Spell / Re: Find and Replace Preset
« on: October 23, 2013, 07:22 PM »
Many thanks, but I am still inclined to think that there should be a way to do this within CHS.

I thought perhaps SENDKEYS and trim line ends.

I tried a custom script tool to include a char(10) which ran after trimming line ends.

In Excel:

I need to copy part of a column (several cells), and then paste the contents of those cells into one single other cell with the ALT-ENTER character between the value taken from each cell.

So if I had
A
B
C
in three cells, I need to paste A ALT-ENTER B ALT-ENTER C into a single cell.

Am I replacing a {TAB} character? And what would the ALT-ENTER character be?

Thanks,
Marty

I using Add Stuff, Hard Wrapping and Break Lines at position in a format, but the line is breaking up words and continuing part of them on the next line.

How do I not break up a word?

Thanks,
Marty

Clipboard Help+Spell / Re: Hotkey for capture only?
« on: May 22, 2013, 10:59 AM »
I started using CHS because I needed a central location where I could keep clips that are related to research that I am doing.

But I don't to to save everything that I copy to the Windows clipboard.

Which option do I change to have CHS only save items that are copied with a customized hotkey?

Thanks

Clipboard Help+Spell / Re: CHS and REXX
« on: May 17, 2013, 07:36 AM »
Thanks all!

I got this working.

1. I had to specify the complete path to the Regina Rexx product and the REXX exec in a .bat which I had pointed the CHS Custom Script Tool menu to.

2. I took the take the defaults of:

create %infile%

and

read from %outfile%.

which were read and written to by Regina's linein and call lineout functions.

Thanks,
Marty

Regina REXX suits me fine, but I still couldn't figure out:

1. What are the arguments? What are input and output parameters?

2. Which REXX statements would I use to read and write to the clipboard?

Thanks,
Marty

CHS looks like a superb tool.

1. Can I use REXX as a Custom Script tool?

2. Which version of REXX?

3. What are the arguments? What are input and output parameters?

4. Which REXX statements would I use to read and write to the clipboard?

Thanks,
Marty
