Well, to be fair...is it really newsworthy when it's a bug that affects less than 10% of computer users world-wide?  ;)
Percentage differs. It may be 10% for world-wide but more for Mac users. As someone already said: for Windows it would be very big hit even if happen for something smaller. For Apple it is rarely heard of because "everything is so perfect"…

Just 2 cents to spice things up  :P:

+1 for me: if you're counting  :)
From me too :)

Slan was too dark for me at the beginning but I've used to it.

Or maybe I had some predispositions for it? AFAIR I had always had "black to red" colour set for title bar and black desktop wallpaper within Classic theme.

P.S. Where are you working? I could swear that I saw the same settings as yours on some training video recently ;)

431
not me -- i prefer the plain minimalist windows 2000 (Windows Classic) theme.  makes me feel all calm inside :)
I had the same thoughts for years but since I found SlanXP2 theme I changed my mind...

I have not yet found anything connected to '.ion', in XnView.
RMB on any picture and choose Describe... (Ctrl+D).

I didn't check XnView for such feature but some filemanagers (TC too) handles such files when you are moving/copying your images.

You're not completely right.

There was major slowdown between December 2008 and September 2009 but recently there was a little update of KMPlayer. I hope it means something and updates will come more often.

I feel like I could write a book about interviews :(

Few more things are worse than already described:

1. Dictionaries

If there is no IT specialist HR expects you to know dictionary terms for all his/her questions. "What is serialisation"? The hell I know. I've used it many times, I can tell you examples right away but I have no idea how to tell you that in right way. Will Wikipedia be OK or should I memorize other resources too?

2. English language

I was once on the interview where the spoke person was very bad in English. Honestly, I can get the context of your speech if it's even in Cockney but I had real troubles to understand what I was asked about. And that was in the middle of London!

3. Time

Do not give a feeling that I am not needed at all and you are in hurry. If you don't have a time to listen to my answer, don't make an appointment instead of cutting my responses after 3rd sentence.

As others stated: an IT guy is "must have" for an IT role interview. I am not going there to meet Drinking bird or to hear "I don't know. I am here just for interview"*.

*) Happened during #2 meeting.

Add to your complains something what is there for ages: if you select text, copy and paste into text editor, in most of the cases, you will have additional spaces added to the end of each line.

Thanks to cranioscopical for finding it.

1.0.28 is out!

I've added "Inline Mode" which puts cursor within inserted tags. It can be set on "General" tab in Settings. If it's not working for some tags, please, write about it. I might miss a few.

I have also fixed few other bugs (i.e. empty lists were showing asterisks with alternative engine but not with standard one) and cleaned-up code a little bit (FxCop was killing me ;).

Every morning I bow to a little statue of Christain Ghisler by my bedside - well, almost.
You too? ;)

Small things make a difference when you use those small things all the time.  Developers very often forget this.

It's not always true for developers but… For everything around TC only Christian makes decisions because this is "one man project". AFAIK DO is other pair of boots. More people involved on company side and file manager is not the only thing GP Software does. So there is definitely some kind of "management" there and (based on my experience) this is the place where "size does matter" applies :)

I am sorry, I don't have a much time for coding these days but I will see what I can do. Last thing I did with BBCeditor was general code clean up only (not released).
I can't promise new version very quick but I'll try to do something with it.

Is there a way to make the shortcuts act like traditional WYSIWYG editor? I mean that is when I click ctrl+B for example it would put the type location immediately between --b and /b as opposed to after [/b]
-Paul Keith
It should not be a problem to make an option for that.

Also maybe a more noticeable copy text and pre-included templates for making the previews mimic traditional forums?
-Paul Keith

There is "Choose style" option in "Tools" menu which checks CSS files from "styles" folder. If something exist there, BBCeditor will show it to you allowing to change preview panel template. Unfortunately, I did not have a time to create valid style sheets yet. Althoguh, you can make it by yourself ;)

Also do you have plans on extending the program for imageboards and such?
-Paul Keith
I am not familiar with them. Care to elaborate what is missing / you'd like to see?

Testing for few hours and I must say: it is getting worse but I've made decision long ago that I will check it for few days and say "bye bye".

What is worse:
- quality of tooltip thumbnails (on tabs hover).

What did not change:
1. still hangs on exit (I know I can switch history off to fix it but why would I need a browser without URLs suggestions?)
2. few completely different applications give access violation errors while Opera is running (tested RAM with MemTest and it is OK & no problems w/o Opera),
3. once again I had to change language files (I don't like to see "Synchronisation disabled" label all of the time),
4. once again my searches gained unnecessary crap,
5. no "wbr" HTML tag support (still),
6. deleting personal bar links keeps them in Bookmarks (but hides from PB),
7. some flash movies are not going fullscreen (they fill the page breaking layout completely),
8. final version one day after RC,
9. "Opera Link" does not have an option to set synchronisation priority (i.e. overwrite server's content),
10. some dialogues (i.e. the one which asks "what to do" on startup after closing by killing the process) got enormous size and do not fill my screen at all.

And update did not install XML file which contains the list of spell checker dictionaries. I had to copy it from other PC.

What is better:
- it may be placebo but gives the feeling that pages load quicker.

Your last sample may be strange but this is what I am using :)

The most important thing is: is it readable to you? Can someone else look into it and get an idea right away? If yes, format it whatever you like.
And if you don't want to lok on foreign code because of its look, you can find some tools over Internet to make all syntax up to your liking.

BTW I've started with K&R in the past but moved into current style because it is easier to me to read such code after longer absence. My brain gets overloaded if there is too much stuff in one line ;)

Maybe I've complained about these already:

1. search on forum boards with results not linking to posts where the phrase occurs but to main thread instead.

There is nothing better like browsing through 100-pager ;)

2. software support boards with no possibilities to search for files extensions (three letters are not long enough).

How, the hell, can I find anything ANI or CUR related on XnView forum without that? No one uses full format name.

I understand that you are trying to focus on hosting first but people looking for hosting have different criteria to judge is it reliable for them.

As for me: I always take a look on source code. If it's messy: I don't believe that I can trust the company. Like with people: even if someone is good coder you will feel uneasy observing that he is always picking his nose. No matter is he wears the suit or not ;)

BTW What do multiple HEAD tags (and html cosing) do on your page (line #3 and #66)? Or what is the purpose of strange hrefs for links (fsdf, /)?

I could swear it did not happen before. Well, I will post bug report on TC board later.
