But on the other hand, if you compare the Options window font size, with the fonts I use on the rest of my screen, they sure look small. See first attachment.

Or compare them to, say, a Firefox Option window. See second attachment.

Or VLC Options window. See third attachment.

I don't think it's so much the clarity of the font as, simply, its size.

Yes, you're right - it is tiny compared to those.

Oddly they're the same size on my screen i.e. my Firefox options font is the same size as FARR's (so they'd both be too small for you...)
[edit] actually FARR's options are a bigger clearer font :-\ [/edit]

I'm wondering, have you scaled the system font?

My Display Properties / Appearance settings are:
Windows and button:
Windows Classic Style

Color Scheme:
Windows Classic

Font size:
Normal

Under Advanced Appearance, none of the items have been tweaked to increase the size of the fonts. e.g. Active Title Bar font is MS Sans Serif 8, Menu font is MS Sans Serif 8.

Attached is an image of Firefox menus alongside FARR.

Oops, sorry! Yes, I see what you mean. Your font is definitely clearer than mine.

Maybe I'm just getting old...  :(

Yes, I'm on XP using a 23" Samsung monitor via analogue connection.

Thank you for taking the time to post your image, but I think my screen is marginally clearer than yours! See my picture below.

On the left side is your post and on the right side is my screen capture from my previous post magnified to about the same size as yours.

I reckon my font is marginally clearer.  :)

OK, I've reduced the size of the attached image so you may be able to view it all without making use of horizontal or vertical scroll bars.

Now imagine that is a 24" wide screen.

The web page looks normal. The fonts are not too big and not too small. It is a comfortable size.

So now look at the Preferences of ScreenShot Captor. No other utility I have produces such a tiny window.
