Screenshot Captor / Re: Grab selected region makes screen go big
« on: September 28, 2022, 06:01 PM »
Well, sadly, I'm going to uninstall this and go with Greenshot. I've used Screenshot Captor since it was first released. I've loved it. But for over 10 months now it's been doing this with no solution in sight. And it really is annoying to have to exit out of it and restart it every time.

OK, I've been using it since my last post and changed my hotkey to invoke and it still does it.

OK, I'll give that a shot and report back, thanks.

I'm still experiencing the original problem--hitting PrtScrn, which is my hotkey for "Grab Selected Region," makes the screen go big and selecting a region useless. I have to exit Screenshot Captor and restart it for it to work. So annoying.

Thanks, restarting did the trick.

If you haven't seen "The IT crowd", that is your loss. Even if you are not that fond of British comedy. But if you did see it, you are very familiar with the phrase "Have you tried turning it off an on again?" The solution for practically everything :)

Here is a gif from that meme:

LOL I'm not familiar with it. And yes, turning it off and on again is something that I am familiar with. My previous post was after restarting the computer twice--which is restarting the app. Thanks for your comment, I enjoyed it. :)

Yes, 4.36.1 Weird, in doing something else, I turned of "replace command prompt with powershell" then I turned it back on. The problem is no longer there and Screencapture acts normally for Grab Selected Region.

Trying to use Grab Selected Region. When I invoke it, it makes all the images on the screen go large, like at a lower resolution. I can't use this feature at all.

Thanks for the tip! I don't know what changed, but without doing that it seems to be working fine now. Shrug.

Screenshot Captor / Screenshot Captor v4.36.1 does not like Firefox
« on: September 16, 2020, 10:45 PM »
When trying to do anything with SSC with v4.36.1, it opens another tab looking for www.getwindowinfo.com which is a totally blank webpage. The version before this, it would always enlarge the webpage, making it useless to try to capture anything on the right side of the webpage because it would now be off screen. No problem with Chrome.

Screenshot Captor / Screenshot Captor acts weird using two monitors
« on: August 18, 2020, 10:42 PM »
With my system at work, an HP laptop and an HP second monitor, when I use Screenshot Captor to grab selected region, it enlarges the screen. Sometimes it creates this frame on the left side of the screen and pushes the screen to the right and makes it larger. So many times I have to plan carefully so that the region I want to select will remain on the screen to select. Why is this suddenly happening, is there some setting that I need to look at? This is strange. I have two monitors at home and it doesn't behave in this manner.
