unfortunately, there is no shortcut, you have to reinstall everything, except simpler programs like firefox where all the setting are saved in a folder, or in .ini files.

178
another alternative is Registry Workshop.

it would be great if someone can compare Registry Workshop vs. Registrar Registry Manager, for me i prefer Registry Workshop, the seach is faster and it has better layout.

right click on the key>permission>advanced>then check the inherit permissions box.
click ok, and you will be able to delete it.

Living Room / Do you like/eat Sweet Potato?
« on: July 20, 2006, 12:54 AM »
The Sweet Potato Is King
A nearly perfect food that's low in calories and sky-high in everything else

If you don't eat sweet potatoes very often, or only at holiday time when they're smothered in melted marshmallow goo and baked until they're unrecognizable, you're missing out on one of nature's truly perfect foods. They're low in calories, high in fiber, great for diabetics and people who are carbohydrate sensitive, and packed with vitamins and minerals. So good for you is the humble sweet potato that Nutrition Action Healthletter once rated it the number one healthiest vegetable. Because it's so delectable and versatile, the sweet potato is one of my favorite foods.

i didnt eat much sweet potato but i am going to eat steamed sweet potatoes as breakfast from now on.

so this was my breakfast this morning, just plain japanese sweet potatoes. :)

1) use Starter

go to edit>new

2) create a new shortcut of the new program, then move it to this folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

jess, go here and File a Complaint:

The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is a partnership between the  Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the  National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C).

185
ok thanks, i will try that.

186
wmv.  :(

187
i get this a lot when doing screencapture in ZP, bsplayer never fails.

188
for screencapture, try BSplayer, version 1.37.826. (lastest version 2 has spyware)

just press shift+p.

If you need alarms, however, you'll need to look elsewhere.

doesnt ClocX support alarm? when i right click on it i see "alarm". :)

and if you like to have different hourly chimes, check out Chimer from http://www.blaiz.net/
http://www.blaiz.net/CHIMER.ZIP

it has many nice different chimes + ships bells.
(no need installation, just run it when you want to hear chimes)

thank you, i will give it a try.

If only the two could meet.  ShortcutMaker is friendlier, and saves me the trouble of finding/typing long paths, and Shortcut Sync syncs so quickly and neatly with no clutter.
the beauty of Shortcut Sync is the command line approach, that enable us to use a batch file, it can even carry out several commands at once.

to create a batch file, create a new text file, write down the commands, ie.

Example: ShortcutSync.exe C:\Music D:\MusicLinks mp3 wav TrayTip

then save the text file and change the extension to .bat

Unfinished Requests / Re: IDEA: OCR & paste
« on: July 11, 2006, 07:08 PM »
unfortunately, it comes with ABBYY FineReader 8.0, not a separate program.

yes it can easily scrap text from images as long as it's legible.

you can send me the image and i will try to OCR it for you, see how well it can read.

ABBYY screenshot reader can capture everything.

196
:) Here's a command line version.

ShortcutSync
OMG, this is so unbelievable.
this small prog can really sync.
640links and with 200 folders shortcuts created in 8 seconds.

197
yeah that is too bad, all over the net there are only global hotkey for winamp.

198

thanks dB, Shortcut Maker works great now, and very fast too.

one small problem, if there are 2 files with the same name, ie.

F:\ttt\1.wma
F:\ttt\ddd\1.wma

it will overwrite the shortcut and end up with only one shortcut, is there a solution to this ? may be name the second shortcut 1(1).wma and so on? thanks again.
