Files 2 Folder uses a very old AHK library which I've attached to this post.

Thanks!
I look into it.

Hi skwire, I use your program from a while now and works great!  :-*

I am a programmer myself (begginer) and I am trying to implement this IDropTarget in my application but I canĀ“t find info on this. Well... I find but is all in C++ and it is very hard to me to adapt at Object Pascal (Lazarus).
Maybe you could explain (or point me in the right direction) in how you do in AHK. Maybe this is more easy for my to adapt to my program.

Thanks in advance!

I was going to download them all just for kicks and giggles but both of the "download all" buttons resulted in HTTP 500 Errors and I'm too lazy to bother downloading them manually. :-[

- Open JDwonloader 2,
           check Clipboard Monitor
- In Firefox (or Chrome):
      Ctrl+U (View Source) ,
      Ctrl+A (Select All),
      Ctrl+C (Copy)
- Wait to Jdownloader parse all the links.

In my case 1234 links. Remove (with category filter at right in LinkGrabber window) images, sound, video and... 351 books in PDF, MOBI, Docx, EPUB ready to download with a click.

Hi!
thanks for share your app.

I actually use f.lux for this. Why your program (in your opinion) is better.

The time between breaks is only time transcurred or the program detect actual activity from the user?

30
I'm more interested in arguments for limiting a process in using the available cpu power. Do you buy a car with hundreds of hp, just to keep the hand-brake on all the time to get a slower acceleration?
I guess it could be useful in a few scenarios for keeping the thermal output lower - like if you have a long-running job on your laptop that you don't need finished as fast as possible, and would rather not get it running blisteringly hot?

In my case, I only have one machine so if I want to re-encode a video I dont want to make my machine useless for several hours until my re-econde finish, so I use BES to limit -30% the Vidcoder process, so it use only 60% of my processor instead 100% and I can use my machine meantime.

Besides as f0dder says limiting CPU in process what usually take ALL (100%) of your processor helps to maintain the temperature down.

31
Hello,

I appreciate your prompt response.

Yes, your explanation does make sense.

I was looking for a utility that would not allow any specific cpu process over a maximum percentage, say 60%.

Might you have a suggestion ??

Thank you.

Your best bet for this is BES

Stupid, stupid question:
The Option in File Menu Always On Top (Ctrl+Shift+A) is checked?

What happen when you un-check this option?
If Close and re-open Win32pad appears checked again?

Maybe the program lost write access to win32pad.ini file.
Mine (in Windows 7) is in "C:\Users\{Your.Name}\AppData\Roaming\Gena01\win32pad\win32pad.ini"

Look this file: edit in Notepad and (with Win32Pad closed) edit the value to:
AlwaysOnTop=0

Save it and try again.
The option Always on Top still checked?
The AlwaysOnTop in ini file still in 0?

33
Hi! thanks again for this application I use it a lot! :-*

I'm here to suggest you a new feature... a filter edit box with the possibility of choice in what column apply the filter.... mainly would be to filter a substring of filename but would be nice I can choose the column to apply the filter so for example you could filter by Video Codec or Audio Codec or substring of Path... anyway any column.
When the filter is applied would be nice what the total time and size reflect only the files displayed but if this is too complicated leave it because I could simply Select All (Ctrl+A) to view this data.

Thanks in advance!
Pablo

Please don't deprive yourself of an excellent program as JDownloader 2 because the installer have a offer of ad-aware!
Just deny this install and continue..

JDownloader 2 it is the best Downloader I ever tried. And I tried a lot of programs...

For me the only catch of JDownloader is what is made in Java so it is painfully slow to start.
For the other hand, this (made in Java) allows me to run in my NAS 24/7... :-*

Thanks for the heads up!

I was a legit user of The Bat! lonng time ago (version 2.xx), but fooled for their greedy license system, forcing to pay in every major upgrade (and changing this first number too many often for minimal changes).

Some time I read (I think what in this forum) a user of Total Commander bragging about his license buyed 15 years ago is still valid today for new versions. THAT is good product support.

40
Yes, an oversight on my part.  Fixed here:

Works great now!
Thanks!

41

If I understood you correctly, your request is in the new version below:

Website | Download
v1.5.0 - 2017-01-15
+ Added separate Width, Height, and Aspect Ratio columns.  You may have to
choose "View > Justify columns" from the menu make the new columns appear.
      (Thanks, antekgla)
+ Added "Move to Top" and "Move to Bottom" functionality to toolbar and
      right-click menu.
+ Added a "Copy text" option to the Edit menu.

Wow, that was fast!
Great! thanks for the update...
I will download and try it.

Thanks again!

Edit: I just tried and the new columns are great! Thanks!
However I detect a weird behavior when I click the Width to sort for that. For example I have several videos from different resolutions 1280x720, 640x480, 512x384 etc... When I click the Widht column the 1280 value is treated like the lower of the list  :o
I mean if the sort is Hight to Low appears the last and if the sort is Low to High appears first... weird... maybe a bug in the grid?... but the Height Column sorts OK  :tellme:

Edit2: I think what I know because the Width Colums sorts it is wrong... the values are treated  like alphabethic so 1280 is prior to 512, right?

42
Hi, I recently discover this little program and I find very useful!

I would like -if possible-  to make a request:
MediaInfo has a lot of information about multimedia files, sadly Playtime only have a small subset of this info to include in the grid.
I agree what maybe this info it is not always useful to all users, but sometimes would be nice to have the Display Aspect Ratio or a colum only with the width (or height) of the video. I dont know... people has a lot of weird needs (I find this in DonationCoder in the section Coding Snacks !!!)

So if its not very complicaded I request the possibility of choose between all the info of MediaInfo provides to add as a Playtime column.

Thanks in advance,
and congrats for make so many programs free for the community!
Cheers!

I'm not holding out much hope, but I did email them asking about API access.   :)

If no/bad response...

ViewLyricsOpenSearcher

The good side: open source.
...the bad side: it is written in Java  :(

How to use this?

N.A.N.Y. 2017 / Re: NANY 2017 Release: sLyrics

For Lyrics I use the best Winamp Plugin out there: Minilyrics (I use with KMPlayer)
Free! Even tons of lyrics are sincronized with time information for display karaoke style  :)
This plugin use the site Viewlyrics.com. I think what the plugin is their property...

Sadly the website is very simple (without a search engine  >:( )
So I think what no API.
Maybe contacting the webmaster and ask?

N.A.N.Y. 2017 / Re: NANY 2017: MMAHW! (Make My Active Hours Work!)
« on: December 09, 2016, 01:23 PM »
Not a App for NANY but a solution for you...

The batch script code:

Code: Text [Select]
  1. :: Setting Active Hours Start (AHS) and End (AHE) times to 1 hour before the current time through 9 hours after the current time, i.e., a total of 10 hours window
  2. @ECHO off
  3. set /a AHS=%time:~0,2%-1
  4. IF %AHS% LSS 0 set /a AHS=%AHS%+24
  5. set /a AHE=%time:~0,2%+9
  6. IF %AHE% GTR 24 set /a AHE=%AHE%-24
  7. reg.exe ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX\Settings /v ActiveHoursStart /t REG_DWORD /f /d %AHS%
  8. reg.exe ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX\Settings /v ActiveHoursEnd /t REG_DWORD /f /d %AHE%

Save it as .bat, place it in not-a-temporary place, and create a scheduled task in the Task Scheduler (Windows+R > taskschd.msc > Enter) which'll run it, say, every 8 hours (one hour before the changed active hours end time). Here is one way to create it which can ensure regular runs:
1. Create new task
2. General tab: set user account to SYSTEM OR User with highest privileges and check "Run whether user is logged on or not"
3. Triggers tab: 2 options:
A. 2 triggers - a. "On a schedule" + One time (choose any time for the 1st run) + Repeat task every 8 hours for a duration of "Indefinitely" b. "At log on of any user" (this ensures not missing the active hours reset when you reboot)
B. 1 trigger - "At log on of any user" and set to repeat every 8 hours indefinitely
4. Actions tab: Start program: Set the path of the file (use quotes if the path has spaces)
5. Conditions tab: Uncheck "... only on AC power"
6. Settings tab: Check "Run task as soon as possible after a scheduled start is missed" (further ensures that you don't miss active hours reset if the task fails to run as per schedule)

^If you like you may set the task to run every hour indefinitely instead of eight, but I'd say it'll be a bit of an overkill.

I haven't had any updates since I've put my task up, so can't confirm if its working. However, if cbarn's script works, this should too.

PS: If you just want to import the task that I've made, here is my task's xml code (save it as an .xml and import in the Task Scheduler):

Code: Text [Select]
  1. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16"?>
  2. <Task version="1.4" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/windows/2004/02/mit/task">

Finished Programs / Re: DONE: Key combination tally
« on: November 26, 2016, 06:46 AM »
Here's a quick'n'dirty AHK script to accomplish what you want.  It'll show the count in the window and the tray icon tooltip (hover the mouse cursor over the tray icon).  There's also a reset count option in the right-click menu of the tray icon.

So simple...
This drew my attention and I try to make something in Delphi... but try to monitor the keyboard in an application what dont have focus implies keyboard hooks, dlls, API Calls, Virtual Key Codes
This AHK script so simple... Don't have a SINGLE line of keyboard management, only the key combo searched...
Code: Autohotkey [Select]
  1. ~+Enter::
... and nothing more.

I see something siimilar in this post.

As 4wd pointed I think what Robocopy is the answer.

Robocopy is a command-line tool included with Windows 7 and later that easily does this job:

You could use Robocopy to create the same folder structure and zero-lenght files in another location. This command not erase your older files rather create the same structure (with zero-lenght files) in another place.

ROBOCOPY sourcefolder destinationfolder /CREATE /S

/CREATE is the key here as it is what creates the zero-length files.

Robocopy Help.
