Living Room / Re: does anyone know of this winamp plugin?

You wouldn't really need a plugin to do something that simple, it should be a matter of minutes to do the same with AutoHotKey or something similar (the WA executable takes command-line parameters so you wouldn't need to do anything advanced to make it work).

That said, is there are reason why you just don't use the built-in global hotkeys instead? Because doing so would involve a whole lot less typing that the plugin you're referring to in your post.

It's ironic that whenever I've been infected by a virus, it's not the antivirus that's rescued me, it's some small utility designed specifically to remove the virus in question. Instead of removing viruses with your antivirus software, remove them with standalone tools made by the people behind your antivirus!

Hmm...well the thing is, the whole point should be not to get infected in the first place. Your approach really only works if you know that you have a virus (and which one), and I would say that the most dangerous ones are the ones you don't notice but just quietly keeps sending out data from your system without destroying or slowing things down...like account information/credit card info.

Oh, I thought your theme was HmmXP, the window icon in the Start Menu is similar.

The start button is just something I quickly made in Photoshop a while back and reshacked into a modified Vista visual style. The default Vista VS doesn't look all that bad, but everything takes up to much valuable space IMHO. It's like Microsoft GUI designers wants to pad our monitors back to the dark ages of 1024x768, and I hate it. Thankfully you can improve the situation a bit with a HEX editor and Photoshop :)

So, HmmXP also works under Vista?

No, as far as I know there isn't any ports of it to Vista.

Haven't posted in this thread for months, so I figured it was time for an update :) This time, it's my Vista setup:
