I needed a quick way to make a window ontop/not ontop. This utility allows you to double click the middle mouse button to set a window ontop/not ontop. If you do not have a middle mouse button you can hold the SHIFT key and double left click on a window to do the same. FREE

Scrubby is a utility that sits in your system tray and allows you to remove text formatting (Bold, Italic, Colors, Etc.) and optionally strip HTML tags from text in your Windows clipboard using a hotkey and paste into the current active window. You can also create substitutions and substitute some text for another when pasting. Can come in handy for email templates and such.

I did base it off of a Mac app I saw called TextScrub. I thought that was a great idea so I made a Windows version. :-)

Here is a quick app that I have been using that I just decided to release. Quick View is a small image viewing app. There is no install, just double click on the Quick View.exe and select an image, drag and drop an image on to the Quick View.exe or right click on an image and select Open With and select the Quick View.exe. You can even set it as the default for images. Quick View is freeware.

Hello all! I'm here to announce my latest app called Star Convert. It is an app to convert different file types using the file context menu item. Currently in testing phase so I am hoping for some good feedback. The current conversion types are as follows:

• To and From jpg, pcx, png, bmp, tga, gif, tif
• From jpg, pcx, png, bmp, tga, gif, tif to PDF (java is required for this conversion)
• From ICO to jpg, pcx, png, bmp, tga, gif, tif
• Icon from EXE and DLL files to ico, jpg, pcx, png, bmp, tga, gif, tif
• Any plain text file or HTML file to PDF

Paste As File has been updated to 3.3.0.0! Now supports pasting a clipboard image to PDF (registered version only). I did have to raise the price to $10, but current customers always get FREE upgrades. There is a really cool site called http://ListenToAMovie.com that has tons of movies and TV shows that you can listen to online. I wanted to be able to download the MP3 files so I can listen to them on my iPod without having to be connected to the internet. That lead me to make this. There is no install file, just download and run ListenToAMovieDownloader.exe (you can download from my website) then go to http://ListenToAMovie.com. Browse for a show you want to save and right click on the link and Copy Shortcut or Copy Link Location (depending on your browser). The link should automatically show on ListenToAMovieDownloader. Then just press the Get button and save to your computer!

This is the first official public release of Tab Launcher. I have added options to help speed it up as well as some special tabs. I have also put a lot of time into it and have decided to made it for sale for $5 USD. It is free to use as long as you wish, but there is a *Register* tab that is always there (unless it is registered of course). I have a lot of other ideas and additions that will be added in the future as well.

Update to Tab Launcher. There are many updates, but the main one are Drag and Drop to move icons between tabs, added an Options dialog, and better tab management, and removed task icon and added to tray.

Hope having 2 apps is acceptable. :-) I just started working on this and it's working well so far. It is a launcher (yes, another) for apps with tabs and will have a limited scripting language built in.

This is nothing big, but something I have been wanting to try and so far it's working out...

How to use. Download and run PasteButton.exe below (no install, just put in a safe place :-) ).
Select some text, Right click and hold for < a second and you will see a tooltip "Text / File(s) copied..." The text will then be in the clipboard.
Double right click in an edit box to paste the text.

Select some file in a windows explorer window and hold for < a second and you will see a tooltip "Text / File(s) copied..." The files will then be in the clipboard.
Double right click in an empty space on a explorer window to paste the files.

If you hold the Control (ctrl) key on your keyboard while doing a click and hold, the text/files will be CUT instead of copied.

Yep, another update already! :-) In this version I added an optional popup menu to allow faster pasting to a file type (registered version only), you can now change the default file name from Clipboard_<date> to whatever you like, and there is also an experimental feature; URL to PDF. It will attempt to take a URL found in the clipboard and convert that site to a PDF (registered version only).

You can update Paste As File by doing a Paste As File and clicking the About/Update button and then selecting Options > Check for update or you can download the setup from my site http://starpunch.net

I added back RTF support as an option. I have has a few reports that RTF support caused Paste As File to crash. Now you can easily turn it off if that happens.

RTF support is disabled by default, but you can turn it on by doing a Paste As File and click on the About/Options buttons. Select Options > Enable RTF support.

Paste As File allows you to paste the contents of the clipboard to a new file in the current folder or desktop via the context menu. It can paste as a text file, Formatted HTML, PDF file, or image file based on the contents of the clipboard. Supported image formats are jpg, pcx, png, bmp, tga, gif and tif.

Paste As File 3.0 is ready to be tested! I added formatted HTML and PDF file support (registered version only). I am going to make a small How To video soon, but for now:

Formatted HTML: that means when copying text from a web page or document you can paste to a HTML file and (optionally) keep the formatting. It will keep the text formatting and any images (linked) that were copied.

PDF file support: just select some text as normal and then Paste As File, change the extension to PDF and it will create a PDF from the text copied. It also will keep the formatting copied from a web page or document.

Since the PDF file support is in the registered version only (made to help recoup some costs) I need 5 to 10 people to test it out for me. If you are interested in testing, I will send you reg info to register Paste As File and test it out. I do need people who are going to give me good feedback please. If interested go to http://starpunch.net/?page=7 and submit your info. I will then send you the download link and the reg info.

As per request by @Josh, I added CSV support to Link Snack. Create a CSV file in the following format:

Target file, Link Name, Start Dir, Location, Parameters, Icon

Start Dir, Parameters and Icon are optional

All file options require the fill path (i.e. Fill path to target, icon, location and Start Dir)
Start Link Snack and drag and drop the CSV file onto the dialog and it will be processed immediately. If there are any errors creating a link, a file called LinkErr.txt will be created in the same location as Link Snack.exe.

I have made a few changes/updates to Paste As File. In this BETA version I have added a preview panel so you can see what text or image is in the clipboard and I added a way to allow PAF to suggest a file type/extension. It is called Suggestions and if any of the "words" in the Suggest string matches the text in the clipboard, it will suggest the file type/extension that is associated with the Suggest string. There are only 3 built in HTML, PHP and CSS, but you can also add your own. So if you are a programmer you can add specific "words" to look for and PAF will suggest the file type/extension. I have not updated the help file yet, so you will have to play around with it a bit. The Suggest strings are searched in the order they appear in the dialog, so if you have HTML before PHP in the dialog and you have text in the clipboard that contains HTML code and PHP code, it will use HTML since that is what it would see first.

To edit the suggestions, RIGHT CLICK in the extension edit box when pasting to a text file.

I had created this a while ago so I can quickly copy a text file and paste the contents to an email. Since then I have decided to make it much better (and it was also requested on freewaregenius.com) and release it here first for beta testing before I post it on my site.

Copy Contents adds a context menu item to files allowing you to copy the contents of that file to the clipboard. Supported files are plain text files and image files (jpg, pcx, png, bmp, tga, gif, tif).

Paste As File has been updated to v2.1.0.0

I have changed the UI to allow easier editing of the file name without having to also type the extension.



It now also supports pasting as RTF (rich text format) files. This will allow you to copy formatted text from applications such as Microsoft Word and paste as a RTF file and keep the text formatting intact. There are some applications that may not keep the formatting when pasting to a RTF file. You will just have to test your application to see.

To go with Paste As File I made Copy Area. This also adds a menu item to the background context menu of windows explorer and the desktop called Copy Area. It will copy a selected are of your screen to the clipboard. You can then paste the image into any app that supports image pasting and you can also use Paste As File to paste the copied area to a file. There is a 5 sec delay until capture allowing you some time to get things in position for the capture if needed. You can also have a shortcut put on your desktop that has the hotkey Ctrl+Alt+Z that will also start the capture, but without the delay. You can change the hotkey using the shortcut properties dialog. This way the capture app does not stay running in the background.

It adds a "Paste As File" menu item to the background context menu of a windows explorer window and the desktop. It allows you to paste the contents of the clipboard to a file based on the clipboard contents. If it is text, it will past as a text file (with the default extension .txt) or as an image file (default extension of .png). Supported image file formats are jpg, pcx, png, bmp, tga, gif and tif.

Paste As File will remember the last extension used for either image or text and will show that the next time you paste.
