Here's part of the page including the quotes and the table format - hope that's what you need.

<table style="text-align: left; width: 718px; height: 167px;" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tbody><tr><td style="text-align: left; vertical-align: middle; width: 184px;"><a href="SD_1.html"><img title="Click to go to SD 1 page" style="border: 0px solid ; width: 180px; height: 118px;" alt="Singapore Deep 1 One Bedroom FSC Accommodation near Wilsons Promontory" src="SDOne011b.jpg"></a></td> <td style="width: 315px; text-align: center; vertical-align: middle;">&nbsp;<big><span style="font-style: italic;"></span></big>
<script><SCRIPT LANGUAGE= "JAVASCRIPT"><!--var r_text = new Array () ;
r_text[0] = "My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Singapore Deep. It was just wonderful to go and recharge the batteries. We loved the view of the bay. Laura";
r_text[1] = "Wonderful couple of days,
you should be very proud of your setting and service. Many Thanks, Peter";
r_text[2] = "We had a really lovely 1st anniversary staying at Singapore Deep. We loved the wide sliding doors over looking the water. Sarah";
r_text[3] = "Margaret - thanks again for a wonderful 4 days at your retreat, it was great to meet you. Simon";
r_text[4] = "What an unusual and pleasant two days Paula and I enjoyed this week at Singapore Deep. We were very impressed indeed, not only with the architecture and view but with the cleanliness and high standard of fittings, equipment etc. Ian";
r_text[5] = "Just wanted to say thank you for providing such beautiful accommodation in SD1. We have just had a lovely weekend there enjoying the stunning view and feeling completely relaxed.
You provide just the right combination of privacy and luxury to make the whole experience a joy. Leanne";
r_text[6] = "I would like to let you know that my husband and I had wonderful day at Singapore Deep. We loved the seclusion and the gentle view of the bay. Laura";
var i = Math.round(6*Math.random());document.write(r_text);//--></script></td><td style="vertical-align: middle; white-space: nowrap; width: 175px; text-align: right;"><a target="_blank" href="SD_2.html"><img style="border: 0px solid ; width: 184px; height: 122px;" title="Click to go to SD 2 page." src="SDTwoLHview52WA07a.jpg" alt="Singapore Deep Two - 2 bedroom FSC accommodation" hspace="120"></a></td>

The array, etc is based on an example I found on the web. It doesn't have any code to link it to the blank space in the table.

I've made a very simple web site for our business - an electronic brochure really. I used Nvu, as I have no coding experience, and based the pages on a CSS template provided by A. Viklund.
Over time we've had some nice thankyou messages from our customers and I incorporated a couple into the site. The other day I thought it would be neat if the quotes changed everytime the home/index page was loaded/refreshed. I did a bit of searching and sure enough plenty of other people had thought of this before me and written some code. The problem with all the code I found was that there was no way to locate its action on the page just where I wanted it.
On my site's home/index page I have a three column single row table with a thumbnail in A1 & C1 and I want the quote to appear in B1.
Is this request worthy of someone's time? If not some gentle nudges in the right direction would be gratefully received.

Thanks,
Clive

I too hope for a shredder that will shred individual files in the recycle bin.
Whilst we're on the topic of shredding - how about e-mails? None of the searches that I have done, for shredders, have ever turned up an e-mail shredder and surely there are sensitive e-mails that many people would want to shred as much if not more than their files.

104
Thanks for that.  I actually remembered that option as I was driving home from work. :-[ Now you know why Pooh is my avatar - a bear of very little brain.

Excuse me if this is a bit "off thread", but is there a way of preventing icons of software that you want to leave permanently running from appearing in the tray? Or perhaps flashing up during Start Up (like the warning lights when you turn on a car's ignition) and then disappearing?

Here's another possibility (also free for personal use)http://www.abassis.com/index.html

Have you seen Open Work Bench www.openworkbench.org? It's freeware and claims to be a project manager.
I was looking for something that would be useful (I'm thinking of having a house built) and that would not only help with the planning but also keep track of expenses - over or under budget with various trades, etc.
I've downloaded and installed it, but it's a bit too arcane for me to use straight from the box. You may have better luck with it.
The forums are hopeless for Open Work Bench,IMHO, as they are clogged with spam.

Hi Everyone Up There. I'm at the southern most tip before you dive into the ocean and start swimming for Tasmania (not).
DC is a great community to be part of - thanks to Mouser et al.

Hi Everyone,
I'm not in the same league as some of you guys - just a general everyday end user, but I use and prefer LookOut for my indexing and searching of Outlook and other files. It doesn't have continuous indexing, but I found that it would find things that X1 wouldn't. Anyway, just my 10 cents worth.

General Software Discussion / Pre Upload Website Viewer
« on: October 12, 2006, 09:04 PM »
Hi Everyone,
I'm just building my first website and am wondering if anyone knows of or could recommend software that allows you to check that your site functions before you upload it? I know that it's possible to check individual pages, but is it possible to check that the whole site works e.g. links, etc?
I already have a site running which was built for me by my son, but it's outdated now and he's too busy, since becoming a dad, to build a new one for me. So the site I'm building is to replace the existing one. Any advice on what to do in case my site doesn't work after I've uploaded it and I need to fall back to his one?

Thanks,
Clive

Post New Requests Here / Re: IDEA: systray keyboard lights

Hello Everyone,
I find KeyInfo very helpful (being one of those clumsy hunt 'n' peck typists and having a cordless kb), but am mystified as to why KI disappears from the tray between shutting down the 'puter one day and turning it on the next. Any suggestions? Also (a wish) could it be made semi transparent and floating on the desktop?

With regard to EverNote - I gave it a try as I was looking for something that could take all my varied odds and ends and then be searchable. I don't really care for "trees" and "hierachies".
My question is this - do hyperlinks go inactive in EverNote? They certainly did for me any time I copied one in.

fSekrit / fSekrit & keylogging
« on: July 31, 2006, 09:37 PM »
Say you're travelling and using internet cafes to stay in touch, pay bills, top up your credit card, etc.
It seems to me that such cafes would be the likeliest places to be insecure and have such things as key loggers running.
Is there any way to overcome this security weakness either when using fSekrit or any other encryption software?
I have some personal details stored at an encrypted web mail provider. If I can't remember a password for an account I go there and check my mail, but that is probably a risk too as when I open the e-mail containing the info it's probably put in a temp file on the computer I'm using.
Any thoughts on security when travelling?

I hate to just throw it out so if there's anyone in Australia who could use it let me know and I'll send it to you for free.

Whoops, I see this should be in with the other "spring cleaning" stuff. I guess if someone really wants it they'll find it.

Skrommel's Software / Toddler Trap
« on: July 20, 2006, 07:13 AM »
I liked the idea of Toddler Trap (I'm blessed with a grandson, need I say more :-[) so downloaded the snack. It's obviously simple, but how do you activate it?

Thanks,
Clive
