Note that the goal here is not to create a text plugin that allows super fine grained control over a block of text -- windows users could benefit from a text plugin that allows complete and easy robust html/css control over text.
Rather, it's to extend the existing easy-to-use text source to make it more attractive and suitable for multi-line text, enough so that it's reasonably convenient and good looking.

102
OBS Text Plugin enhancements for Multi-line:
This is a plugin based on the OBS text plugin for windows that comes with OBS out of the box.
It includes several enhancements focused on doing multi-line text.

Motivation for this plugin:
I have to create new text titles for nearly every live session I do, that require multiple lines of text.

This can be cumbersome for two main reason:
1. Multiline text with the OBS plugin seems to use excessively large line spacing which looks weird.
2. I frequently need to have some text lines smaller than other lines.

Now it is possible to get good looking multi-line titles using the built-in OBS text plugin, but to do so requires create a separate text source item for each line, so that each line can be sized and positioned as desiered.
This would not be a problem if one were just making a one-off title page, but is onerous when you frequently have to make new title pages with different text.

So this replacement for the OBS text plugin extends the built-in one for multi-line use in a couple of ways:

1. It allows fast tweaking of the line spacing when doing multiline text
2. It allows each line to be prefixed by a modifier which can tweak the font size and line spacing for that line (as well as one to modify the hue).
3. It provides an option for how gradients are handled for multiple lines.
4. It provides a word-wrap feature.
5. It provides an internal notes textarea for you to keep alternative blocks of text for easy reuse.

Sample of using built-in OBS text plugin to create some multi-line text source:

And using the new multi-line plugin version:

Thanks guys! I'm not sure how useful they will be for others but I've had a lot of fun (and some long sessions of utter despair and frustration) learning to code for OBS.

Awesome.  Are all those photos ones you took?

Here I am using it in practice in a 6+ hour livestream:

LaunchBarCommander should work fine on windows 11.
It uses it's own theme system, so you'll have to play with it and try to find a theme close to what you want.

I've been working for the last coupe of weeks on a plugin for OBS for top-down camera views that can detect the location of physical marker cubes in the scene and then auto zoom and crop into that region of the screen.  Tons of options to control how it works.
Might be useful for people who use top-down camera views to show details of items.

Let me ask something -- have you tried turning off Red Box Capture mode for regions (see Selection Capture Options tab); the non-redbox fixed size capture follows the cursor and so shouldn't present this issue.

You could edit the ScreenshotCaptor.ini file to delete the stored location, but let me add some code to the new beta that will check and move it on screen if it's off -- i'll post here when a new beta version is up.

It's not Visual "BASIC"  -- that's a language, it's visual STUDIO.

121
I'm not an expert in this but some quick replies:

Unlike other Microsoft specific languages like "Visual Basic", I believe these days there is really just C# and I don't think people talk about "visual" C# much these days, and there is no reason you need to think about it like that.  The language is just C#.

Now Visual Studio is a fine IDE editor and development environment for C# coding but there are others that may be less overwheleming.  I certainly find Visual Studio intimidating though I do use it sometimes.
You mention Visual Studio 2017.. I believe the current free one is 2019, and I'm not sure if there would be any reason not to use that.

The one thing to keep in mind perhaps is that C# is essentially cross platform now, so that you can code on windows but use on mac/linux, except that there are some libraries and tools that are only available on windows.  When considering what tools and libraries to use, I would suggest favoring those that are cross platform compatible.

There are definitely tools and libraries for writing C# code that can be easily translated to different languages.
