Find And Run Robot / Re: Open search results in windows explorer
« on: November 26, 2010, 02:32 AM »
Hi mouser,

That's ok now. I found the reason of the problem. The keyword was the same as the name of the corresponding folder.
I don't know why, but I changed the keyword and now it works normally.

Find And Run Robot / Open search results in windows explorer
« on: November 11, 2010, 01:31 AM »
Hi there!
I've got a little problem. I did some aliases to search only some specific folders on my computer (dosearch +keyword of a search folder). I did it for example with the standard folders "%Mymusic%" and "%Mypictures%" and it perfectly works. But when I want to do the same with another folder on my hard disk (for example C:\blabla\data\bla), it searches in the right folders and so on, but when I click on a result which is a folder, it does not open it in windows explorer like it does for the music folder but open the path in the FARR window, which I don't want to.
What do I do wrong?  :(
Thanks for any help.

Find And Run Robot / Re: Results of several searches in one window
« on: September 06, 2010, 11:49 AM »
Hi mouser,
second, it sounds like what you would prefer might be a web service that could run multiple searches and show them on one page.. maybe someone knows a website that can do that?
Ya, that's it. For example, something like search results in Google, but only with defined sites.

Find And Run Robot / Results of several searches in one window

Hi!
Do you think it's possible to have an alias for doing a multiple search and having the results in just one window?
For example, I wan't to search a word in each of the websites listed in the "define" alias. Is there a way of doing the search automatically in all the listed sites and have the results showed in one window? A bit like in GooglePlus, but with defined sites.
It would be really great!

Thanks

Guillaume

Find And Run Robot / Re: Letter with accent in the internal browser

Hi Mouser,

I tried the $$u1 trick but it doesn’t work. That’s exactly the same  :(

Find And Run Robot / Letter with accent in the internal browser
« on: August 31, 2010, 04:36 AM »
Hi!
I configured an alias to search in an online dictionary and show the results in the internal browser of FARR. It works fine, but when the searched word contains a letter with an accent (like ä, ü, é, è, etc), a question mark appears instead of the letter, so that I have to manually type the letter once again.

Is there any way to correct it?

Thanks!

Find And Run Robot / Re: Program run only one time
« on: August 26, 2010, 03:43 PM »
Hi mouser!
all right! Then, I’ll wait till the function exists!!
Thanks for your help, am gonna have a look at the FARRAltTab plugin.

Hi Alias!

Thank you very much for the AHK script. I am a AHK user too, so it can be really useful. I like AHK too and use it for automatically insert signature and stuff like that.
I’ve just tried your script and I think it’s a good alternative to FARRAltTab cause there are not so many keystrokes to switch between the windows. I have just one problem, which is due to my use of the computer. I have a german keyboard, but as I am typing a lot in french, I use a keyboard called Bépo (more or less the french equivalent of the DVORAK layout), but as I am not the only one using this computer, the bépo is not a pilot, only a Portable keyboard layout made with AHK. It works very good but AHK-scripts only takes into account the "native keyboard". For example, the "F" on your keyboard is actually an "E" on my portable Keyboard, so when I strike "e" in the window of your script cause I want to activate a window with E, I got windows with F, if any . Quite annoying  :-[
Anyway, that has nothing to do with your script, it is due to my personal configuration.
I’ll try to use it a bit and will see how it is !!

Thanks and bye for now.

Find And Run Robot / Program run only one time
« on: August 26, 2010, 10:07 AM »
Hi there!
Am a newcomer on this forum and a new user of FARR. I am so happy to have found this software ! That’s exactly what I was looking for! Great job Mouser!!
At the moment, I am trying to configure all the programs, files and alias I need. Thanks the numerous screencasts, it goes pretty well.
But: I can’t get out how to run only one session of a program. I mean, I did an alias to launch "dtSearch". It works perfectly, but when dtsearch is already running on my computer, FARR launches a second session of dtSearch instead of focusing the one already opened.
Is there a way to indicate there should be only one session running?
By the way, is there any alias listing all the windows opened? (in order to navigate quickly between them).

Thanks in Advance for any help!

Cheers

Guillaume
