Thanks for the info, i'll keep my eyes peeled for new features: subscribed to your blog rss!
My very last sentence? I was referring to the new beta ^^

177
My explanation was really bad :o
I was referring to start a new image with a predefined color palette by means of some additional option on RWP's 'create' button,
please see the above screenshot of the program aha-soft iconxp starting a new project:
different pallete toolbars are enabled according to the initial options chosen by the user on the radiobutton gui 'color'.
Another of my requests would be a grid of pixels to work with the mouse pointer glued to every square, sort of a pixel-art editor, maybe that's already possible?
Checking out the new features!

178
Open an animation and go to Animation->Create filmstrip and then select the maximum number of columns.

- "Animation->Create filmstrip" That's it!!  :Thmbsup:
- Also your program is able to create an animation opening spritesheets (filmstrips) by splitting their frames.  :-*
- And I see your program already allowed "navigation between frames with arrow keys" to see the flip effect by hand
- My other request to restrict colors would be fullfilled if you added more options on the "create image page", something similar to what iconxp presents:

179
Thanks for the response, I'll try to find some 8bf plugin to work with RW.
I've made a search and seems that aha-soft iconxp has some of the features I mentioned above.

180
Hi sir, I'm searching for some program to create animations for old-school games,
I've just watched your tutorial about animations and your program looks spectacular  :-*
The animate function seems very practical and easy to use, I wonder if your program allows to make animations of any size.
It would be nice to add some features like:
- restricting number of colors to work with retro color palettes (8bit,16bit,msx,snes..)
- a function to make/organize spritesheets out of the animation frames like these ones.
- navigation between frames with arrow keys
- some special drawing tools used in pixel-art

Does anyone here know of game-editor ?
It would be nice to read a mini-review or your opinions about this multiplatform opensource product.

@Contro
It seems the approach of creating a toc based on keywords is not practical because your docs may have heading styles so the resultig toc would be a mess.
Hey have you tried nitro? Look for "text masking" on this page.
Good luck!

183
Is your toc a real toc generated by msword or just an index made by hand?
msword autogenerates a toc (with links/bookmarks) by taking text with 'heading' styles,
there has to be some way to automatically assign a heading style (h1,h2,h3..) to any any keyword of your interest and then insert a toc to create links.

184
@Contro, I don't grasp what you try to accomplish.
If you have a msword document with a toc, then that's sort of having already bookmarks..

Here's a list of control panels you can launch on Windows Vista
and Windows 7:

Imagine a tower defense game made by the DC community this way:

- The program could allow to make 'gamified' cellular automata to find patterns usable as game elements like roads, enemies, heroes, towers, landscapes..
- Any member could submit his discovery to a dedicated website.
- The program could make 2d or 3d versions of these patterns, change colors, cartoonify...
- The program could join every pattern to be placed in the battlefield.
- The program could allow enter behavior relationships between the different ca involved in the game, such relations could be user defined or even another ca on top of all of them.
- The program could create user scores, guis, etc

188
I've just recalled this program to design 'cellular automata', wouldn't be a nice project to make a tower defense with CA autogenerated patterns like this one
It seems to me that the app103's nany entry might have some function to autogenerate amerindian patterns this way with cellular automata.
btw I use the screenshot program from this very same author though I want to give Screencaptor a try ^^

Living Room / Re: First Time With Win 8

Thanks for the good laugh  ;D
I prefer managing most of the tasks by means of custom keystrokes with an app like  SlickRun or FARR

190
I was thinking more of opening the pic with Paint, it could work just pressing enter,
this tool is really handy

191
Not to hijack a thread, but I need something else entirely.  I have been trying to get a script to extract the bookmark, and the pages to the next bookmark, and name them after the bookmark. Like extracting chapters in a book to separate files.

hey I was checking if one of my fav apps Pdfsam could split by bookmarks and yes!
check it out and also Sejda , a commandline/webapp tool from the same developer.

192
Jpdftweak has a feature to add bookmarks from a csv file,
there may be some commandline option to add entries to that csv,
so you would need a script to autogenerate that csv according to specific words in your pdf.

193
it might be useful an "open with.." entry for the context menu

194
you could install Google Drive on your pc :
http://support.googl...n&answer=2375078

you might be interested in some program to create/organize notes like
CintaNotes,  KeepNote or RedNotebook
you can find all these apps at
http://portableapps.com/apps/office

195
It seems that Nitro (payware) has what you are looking for.
Maybe you can send a pdf to "google drive" and then process that document with an autohotkey script to insert bookmarks according to user-defined keywords..

Scala looks very promising so far, even though it definitely isn't perfect. But it has a lot of the stuff I like from C#, and on a JVM...

Any thoughts on Luajit ?

Post New Requests Here / Re: Pomodoro + To Do List Prioritizer
« on: November 12, 2012, 07:35 AM »
I make stuff without any time management system or use it "Pomodoro" to overcome inertia and get things started.
I just use paper and a timer application on my phone but I might give some desktop software a try, in the past the only program I liked was "Pomodairo" but I've just made a search and there seems to be new ones quite interesting.
I think that a good productivity tool should have an addicting/game component, two applications that could be a sort of a game in the sense of being fun to use, are "Pomodoro Daisuki" and "Strict Pomodoro"
The first one has sticky notes to play around with colored tags (article about kanban + pomodoro using pomodoro daisuki),
the second one restricts your freedom of movement  :P

Other good applications without game elements seem to be:
mypomodoro
portable, multiplatform, export/import *.csv o *.xls.
Gimme a break!
Integration with google tasks.

As far I know, there isn't an addon for Firefox. It could be a nice NANY entry to make a gamified pomodoro for Firefox ;)

This one launched yesterday its first beta, I'm going to give it a try. The videos show a pretty cool interface and it seems easy to use to make classic arcade games. It's about to make a public release and doesn't have a forum yet.
Arcade Game Studio ARGS

I remember having tried printwhatyoulike and worked pretty well, specially the function 'isolate' used multiple times in a row.

The guys making "Gamebook Creator" have posted the fourth and final update to their campaign.
It's a pity they haven't been able to collect more funds.
