I too used to think the early Americans

I was more thinking of modern day American's.  I get a little irritated how most (not all) choose to call their version of 'English' the original, when it clearly is not, also, how they choose to drop letters from certain words just because they cannot pronounce/will not learn how to pronounce it correctly (IE: Aluminium becoming Aluminum)

Jazper's Software / Re: What is ShoutcastConcierge?

Any idea if this supports viewing of multiple streams hosted from a singular server, including customized information about current DJ, Set, and Styles and possibly URL (Set by the Hosting Software such as SAM)?

This link will be helpful to a few people I know, I will certainly be mentioning it :P

Oh, I forgot, they are NOT REALLY in space; just on a soundstage in Houston.

lmfao, i am sure, by now, they are in space, but i see where your coming from

What a waste of Billions and Billions of dollars!

Really cant disagree, can't really say that its such a big technical breakthrough, even if they are in space, all that should mean is they get a clearer signal, after all, they are a hell of a lot closer to the satellites haha.

I suppose the easier and quickest way (rather than having to code any software) would be to code a simple HTML website containing links in each frame/section of an index page, advantage of this, of course, is you can design it to your own specification, using your own banners etc...make it look spiffy by using favicons or logo's for each website, or keep it simple by having it pure text based.

If anyone needs one running up, please feel free to contact me with a list of websites you want putting into it and an idea of how you want it to look and i will happily do it for you, free of charge of course ;)

English, or BRITISH? (Seeing as Americans have stolen the term 'English' for what should be called 'American' or at very least 'Bastardised English')

I use Fast Dial in firefox.  I tried New Tab King, but I couldn't get used to it (not to mention that it used pages that I'd rather not see appear every time I open my browser)

Stop going on dodgy pr0n websites then?

haha true enough, you get what I mean though when I say I'd like to code in my own language, but until that day, I shall count my blessings that HTML was not invented by someone from Japan, China or any other eastern country.

I see your thinking, I just prefer to code in my native tongue and not, what is essentially a foreign language...

I'm just glad that there are no tags that require me to type 'Aluminium'

couldn't agree more, apple need to get a grip on reality and make something useful, maybe an iCar would be ideal, or an iPlane.

they seem to be producing plenty of iDiots...

Yep, it certainly ain't iDeal

tbh, why not just buy a small touch screen monitor? serves the same purpose, and would be a whole lot cheaper, also FR would be a lot higher, keys much more customizable, and prettier IMO.

Now I agree that this option may seem a little 'weird' for some but I have tried this before, you need a decent sized desk I will admit, but for touch typing it is great (I do have a habit of changing between English, Greek and Spanish a lot), and for gaming, it is amazing.

I'll see if I can locate some pics of the old setup =D

General Software Discussion / Re: Make XP look like Win7
« on: January 29, 2010, 09:40 AM »
Personally I am much happier on Windows XP, using a few vista features, like the sidebar, but mixed in with AlienGUIuse, this gives me some great visual effects without affecting the speed or practicality of my computer.

Also, if you really want to confuse or impress your friends, then I suggest changing the boot up/login screens with customized one's to represent your version of an operating system (For instance, mine says 'Taking The Beast Out of The Cage' where it usually comes up with the windows logo).

Living Room / HTML...In Britsh?
« on: January 29, 2010, 09:31 AM »
Anybody else want to be able to code HTML in BRITISH?

I'm now bored of having to mis-spell words like 'colour' <---- even as i type, my browser is telling me i have mis-spelled that

I could go on and on about it, but I'm not going to.

Just a simple rant I know, and if it seems like it should be in a different area, then please feel free to move/delete it!

Curious if there is anybody else who wants this also!

I much prefer Opera's Speed Dial option, and the favorites link at the top is well organised if you put them into folders named to what type of website they link to.

I personally find it much more aesthetically pleasing and much tidier.

Just my opinion though  :D

Does the Retail Version have a free trial version?

Don't want to commit to it before testing :)

haha, had the same experience today while inquiring about a dedicated server, they might as well of said 'Computer says no' to each of my questions.

Promptly gave up and looked elsewhere haha

The most interesting thing about Apple's several useless crap is the press. I really wonder what all these journalists get for writing positively about anything starting with "i".

A very expensive, crippled iPhone, right?

couldn't agree more, apple need to get a grip on reality and make something useful, maybe an iCar would be ideal, or an iPlane.

At the moment I suppose id settle for an iHammer ^_^
