I've finally gotten around to starting Mafia 3 -- in an attempt to get some escape from the real world.
It's much harder to get into, and not nearly as satisfying, but it does grow on you.. The acting is great, the story is good (though it can't compare to Mafia 2), and it's BIG.
The music is, as with the Mafia 1 and 2, absolutely outstanding, and adds a huge amount to the game.
It's amazing how these games make you feel like you are living in these worlds..

I LOVED the Mafia 3 story. It felt SO immersive and I felt absolutely lost once I'd finished it.

I usually hate stories in games...but MAFIA 3 took me in.

Rosetta Stone (Language Learning) free for Students during the C19 issue.

Note: This actually works for everybody - it doesn't even confirm your email address or school, so if you have been wanting to learn a new language and/or check out Rosetta Stone, now is your chance to do so (Account is valid for 3 months...unknown what happens after that time)

Note 2: This also gives you full access to the Android (and iOS one if that have it) App so you can learn on the go!

For anybody trying to keep their kids amused whilst all the schools are closed for the foreseeable future (and, anybody learning languages or just likes audiobooks), Audible just opened a LOT of books to everybody, for login, no credit cards, no messing around...just click..look...listen!

Note: This is mainly children's stories, but there are also classic literature ones and there are books available in multiple languages.

If anybody else finds some great resources, feel free to post them in here!

Screenshot Captor does exactly what you want (and more).

Duplicate Thread: https://www.donation....msg435946#msg435946

Please continue discussion/make requests in that thread.  Splitting it into 2 different threads for no reason helps nobody.

Internet Explorer 7

You do know that basically no website will work with that anymore, right?

Also...your error messages are in Spanish...most people here don't speak spanish...might be worth maybe giving a translation seeing as it somehow seems relevant to whatever it is you want?

Aside from that...I have no idea what you're even asking so...I'll leave this at that.

Living Room / Re: A Rogue Goose...for your Desktop....

Bit of a misleading headline - the only damage it can do is cause a computer to crash if you're stupid enough to load a lot of them at once... ;D ;D ;D

A word of advice here though: many users have reportedly maxed out their CPU after generating more than one goose buddy (yep! you can do that too). But keep in mind that you can end up crashing your PC if you go overboard with the Desktop Goose.

It doesn't claim to be a "nice little friend"'s SUPPOSED to be an evil little shit that annoys the living hell out of you...that's its entire purpose haha

I don't even care...I must have this!

HONK HONK, HEAR YE. I have created a goose for your desktop.

He'll nab your mouse, track mud on your screen...  leave you a message, deliver you memes?

Play video games with a desktop buddy who will attack you if you poke him.

Fill out spreadsheets while your screen fills up with instances of Goose Notepad.

Farming Simulator 2019 is FREE on Epic Game Store!

Sale ends 2/6/2020 at 4:00 PM

OK, Just gave it a whirl and I have to say it seems to be working great!

Only one slight niggle with it: Any chance you could make the _X_ on the main window minimize to tray rather than just closing it (I've now closed it twice by accident haha).

Thanks again,

I'll download this shortly and give it a shot to see how accurate things are (from my perspective!).

Whoops - I checked that last night actually and completely forgot to reply haha - Let me get onto that now!

OK so I forgot to update this thread and let y'all know that I worked out what content to make.  I'm going to be doing a series on "Intro To Computing" (Which will expand into more technical subjects as I create more videos).

The first video is in development (I have all the content written, just need to do that actual video/editing stuff - as I write this, the first few minutes of video is done and being uploaded to my youtube to test things).

I'm going to make all my content available in both English and Italian (Both will have their own edits made to be in line with the spoken language, and the text on any of the screens will be changed to match this).  To be perfectly honest, the 2nd language option is mainly just because it gives me an excuse to actually speak in the language I've been learning because I don't get much opportunity to do that might be useful to someone!

As I mentioned in the original post, if anybody is interested in helping with any parts of this project (editing, writing, video making, audio stuff, etc etc) then please please please let me know!  The more help, the better!

Curious if you ever found somewhere to get your music from xD

let's start a new thread for 15th anniversary and *potential* fundraiser discussion.. :)

Do it!  :D

On second thoughts - I'm going to lock this topic until mouser makes a decision on the above request.

If you have any issues with this you may contact me on IRC or via PM on the forum.  Alternatively, you can also contact mouser directly.

Just another ping that the code itself is not OS.  I like OSS, and this kind of thing as far as projects based on code that wasn't released under that licence gives the whole community a bad name, IMO.

Just further to Wraith's comment: The Presto Engine is proprietary software and not open source.  A huge amount of repositories containing the source code received DMCA Takedown Requests by Opera, and were subsequently taken down (on GitHub & BitBucket).

Zero3K, I would genuinely not be shocked if you received a DMCA for openly hosting illegal content on your GitHub account.

It is my belief that this should no longer be linked on DC as it goes against pretty much everything this community stands for and puts the reputation of the website at risk.  I will be seeking to gain approval to have this entire thread removed from the forum, or at the very least have all links to the repositories removed.

Oh, that reminds me...I have 0 interest or want to be on there's that  ;D ;D

Time to resurrect the podcast! :D

Me: "Looking for Video Content"
Deo: Audio?

 ;D ;D ;D

I feel like a fundraiser will help get some funding to CREATE those new good things, maybe? :P

Living Room / Looking for Video Content Ideas [For DC Related Videos]
« on: January 16, 2020, 12:00 PM »
Hey guys,

I'm looking for inspiration for some video content to create for DC.  The intention is for them to go up on YouTube and here on the site and I want them to run about 20minutes long per episode.

The issue I'm having is that the only thing I can think of to shoot content for is Software Reviews, which, after watching almost a full day of watching those types of videos on YouTube and subsequently seriously considering taking up alcoholism as a career path just to forget about that day...please don't recommend that I do these...they are seemingly impossible to make interesting at all!

So, shoot me some ideas and let's see what we can come up with!

(Also if anybody wants to volunteer to help with music/editing/writing/anything...then please PLEASE do!)

Wooooo!!! First newsletter for over a year!!!
