i-Sound Recorder for Windows 7 has been released at this month. This recorder use WASAPI and work only with Windows 7 and Windows Vista.
The main feature of this version - loopback recording without using "Stereo Mix" feature of sound card. As you know, "Stereo Mix" feature disabled in
latest audio drivers under pressure from RIAA, so any DirectSound application can not capture streaming audio.

This program uses built-in software syntesizer and support multi-core CPUs. Not sure about 100x, but 5 min. MIDI track converted within 12 seconds on my Core2 Duo 8400.
