  That's the ticket, That's what i was looking for, Perfect, fits the bill just exactly like it needs.

One thing what is so important to get the screen saver working properly is the fact that it is one of very very few screen savers that will work with dual monitors..

Now this is truly one of the best free screen savers there is.. Well other than Electric Sheep.

See told ya it's not really a bad screen saver. It's worth the download. See I fixed a computer here for somebody and I uninstalled all the crappy default screen savers and then thought well I got to give them a few good ones. I found this one installed it, liked it but then noticed that they goofed it by not allowing random or sequence on the brushes. Well that limits it. Even if you could time it like play one brush for two mins and then switch to a different one. This would be excellent. Or even start with a new brush every time. This would be one cool screen saver then for sure.

Well I was thinking .exe as a .scr kind of program. a new exe file that appears as the screensaver it runs, starts up renames the files and then starts up the real screensaver program.

Now the good news is it stores the setting in a file in /windows/system32 called MayaPESaver.prf
It's text

Now all that would have to be done is download the extra effects from that site and set it to all of them renaming the .prf files so they don't get overwritten then make a custom scr wrapper to rename one from the list and start up Maya Paint Effects.SCR

Think they would have thought of this already.


Now you'd only have to make two prf files really, I could add the rest to the file and upload them if you want.

As long as I could edit the list to add new ones.

This screensaver is a excellent free one that is actually worth downloading. The problem with it is you cannot set the paint brush to random every time it runs. It uses the same paint brush now. I'm wondering if it would be possible to set it up so that can happen. A custom loader. The force of the paintbrush can be random just not the actual brush

I never use it so what's the point. Getting rid of that and other features is better that getting virus software really. I see now some sites try installing toolbar java just visiting sites. If ie is gone that exploit does not work. It's amazing how hard a windows box is to hack with outlook and IE gone. Just think about it. The last years worth of security updates from MS you don't even need it.  The programs that they are patching are not even here so no point downloading the security patches for them. It's my computer. I'll use stuff I want to and delete the rest. You'd have to try it really. The speed increase, the hardening of the OP against hackers. Kids here download viruses via messager and the viruses can't find hooks to run. That's one program I left on. All though I'd like to remove it.
I use firefox, I like it. No point in having the IE browser built into the operating system so it's gone.

Getting it working is good for me. I can upload stuff here and grab it at work. I do a lot of my stuff at home cause the companies computers suck. I use to just mail files back and forth now I can just drag and drop. One more use for my massive never going to fill it with mail anyway gmail account.

I don't have IE so I never even downloaded it to try it.

Well Looky looky. I downloaded it and installed it. It works ! You don't need no stinking IE.

I'd like to see somebody write a small app that allows you to store files on gmail right from the desktop. Now somebody all ready did this but it requires IE. That don't do me any good. I don't have IE. I deleted it. Something that works with firefox. A extension maybe.
It would be one popular download.
