General Software Discussion / Renegade's Email Avenger
« on: May 28, 2006, 10:17 AM »
I just wanted to say that recently, I saw the program Email Avenger on Renegade's site after reading about another of his programs here.  I haven't tried it yet, but I have it bookmarked on my computer (and in my brain), for certain.  Because I will be trying it when the need next arises.  About a month ago, I was testing for a job.  Everything was going hunky-dory as I communited back and forth through email with the tester.  Towards the most crucial point, what do you think happened?  Email down.  I can't tell you the problems this caused.  It was horrible!  (On top of that, my cell phone picked that time to act up, as in dropping calls, etc.)  Oh, boy!   :o

So, just another thanks to Donation Coder for making me aware of something valuable!  And to Renegade, of course!   :Thmbsup:

Living Room / UV Art - really cool!
« on: May 23, 2006, 08:45 PM »
Swiped this from another forum and had to share, because it's very cool.  Go to UV Art and click on "Portfolio."  Then, be certain to drag the slider bar, because the art changes when you do so.  I thought many were very nice.

General Software Discussion / Need advice on AHK key remap
« on: April 16, 2006, 05:41 AM »
Hi.  One of my board members works in a platform that, for some reason, enters twice when they hit the Enter key once.  So I wanted to make an AHK script to correct that.  It seems that hitting Win key + Enter does the same thing as Enter, so I did this:

Enter::Send #{Enter}

But A) - I'm not sure, since Enter is messed up for this person, that this combo won't do the same.  I can't really test it properly; works for me but then again, I don't have that problem with the Enter key.

B)  I tried doing it another way, like this:
Send {Enter 1}+{Up}+{Delete}  ; Press Enter once, then arrow up and delete

Which is a disaster because, if you run it while on your Desktop, for instance, it wants to select icons and ask if you want to delete them.  Definite no go there!  <grin>  Plus it seems to delete itself - the script!

I was just wondering if there were some other sure-fire way to do this so that it works for the person.  I am not the brightest bulb in the room when it comes to AHK, and that's a huge understatement.

I hope I put this in the right board section.

Thanks.
