General Software Discussion / How to use Office Outlook 2007 to check emails

hello folks,
             i see a great potential in using Office Outlook 2007 for checking my mails, since i have a wide array of accounts and opening everyone takes a lot of time and energy, i heard having an account in outlook and syncing the email accounts in different website i can check all the emails , that would be a tremendous ease, but i m having a hard time understanding and using outlook 2007 let alone create an account.
  If someone here could guide me on how to use Outlook to check my mails i would be a tremendous help and support. I am trying my hands on this and left with a sore head from random scratching by my hand...

Hope someone could redirect me and tell to how to go about it.....

General Software Discussion / Restore Win 7 in Dual Partiotion.

Hello Folks,
              i have made a backup of my 1st partition i.e., XP and the Second Partition that is Win7 . Sometime later i had to start from scratch and install new things in my 1st partition that meant the boot.ini and other files present in c:\  needed by the default Win Boot Manager was lost and although i only sometimes use win7, i really feel like playing with it sometimes.
    I really dont like to wait another 3/4 hours and install Win 7 and make a backup of my 1st and 2nd partition, it would be another hours lost just to install and make a backup just for the cause of using Win 7 at least 2 hrs a day and 3/4 times a week.
                           
 I searched many places to restore Win7 in dual partition and couldn't get much help using the Recovery console from Win 7 Disc. Has anyone had tried this or could someone redirect.

General Software Discussion / How to remove 6741afb79c635b436c393169e8c1a754 folder from my Ext HDD !

Hello folks , two days back i installed dotnetframework on my friends PC, and after the installation this folder by the name of 6741afb79c635b436c393169e8c1a754 which had amd64 and i386 were created on my External HDD ( i had copied the dotnetframework from my Ext HDD to his D:\ , on checking the attributes it was read only, i changed and unchecked the read only from the Properties and tried to delete it ,still no good.
 I tried it from DOS to remove it too, i dont know what to make of it and how to remove it completly, the Properties doesn't show any file size 0 bytes.
I insatlled Unlocker with the same results,,,,, its really bugging me,,,,

   These files/folder were created after installing Dotnetframwork 3.5 (232 MB), which was needed for the last Giveaway , if u remember, SimplyGoodPictures



What do i do
Any assistance is greatly and warmly welcomed.....

General Software Discussion / Dual Booting Win XP and Win 7

Hello folks,
            i have four partitions c: being default XP and d: e: and f:  So i want Win 7 in my D:\ , although i am fairly rehearsed with installing OS'es and renaming the VOL. My main concern is that each partition contains System Volume Information and Recycler folder, so after installing Win7 how would this folder behave and would that have any effect when i run Win 7 , i also plan on locking the drive when i am on either OS, how would that impact in any way.
                Has anyone tried Dual booting xp and win7, how does the PC respond.

Hello folks,,
         i was looking for a good Clipboard software, the default Clipboard of Winxp is quite incomplete, i was looking for any Clipboard that would paste the selected copied txt from the screen. And that has the feature to view the txt in a Clipboard. Any commercial or a Freeware Clipboard from any User.
         
                     I quite don't understand the use of Clipboard, its just their are times when error pops up and i need to see what the message is, but the clipboard seriously needs a paste feature.

Any suggestion is welcomed

General Software Discussion / Easier way to make a WINPE 2.0 DISC

Hello folks:
       i am trying my hands on WINPE 2.0 DISC. I downloaded the VISTA WAIK from From Here:. Of course a User needs to have a OEM version of OS.
  
  I realised that a user has to work from cmd prompt: at one point i managed to copy and mount imagex something....
  But i found out it is not easy to make one, i need to make a Bootable 2.0 PE Disc, but i am having a difficult time to add again  mount ??? : so i am asking if some users from Donation Coder could help me.
  
  Is their a GUI for making a WinPE 2.0 Disc: or some batch file already made : That can accomplish this task. I need to add making plugins: like in Barte Disc.

General Software Discussion / Format NTFS from DOS!

if anyone can help me out here: i want to format a single NTFS partition from DOS . So far i have found Avira NTFS4DOS Personal 1.9 and Active@ NTFS Reader DOS Boot Disk which although allows access to NTFS partition but it doesn't format the drive. Please dont suggest 3rd party program like Easus Partiton Manager Pro and Barte Disc, which i already have and use. Just a personnel preference......any suggestion is welcomed.

General Software Discussion / Few Question about C++ Express Edition n Winimage !

Hello folks,
             i want to dload MS Visual c++ Express Edition: although when i dloaded a small 2MB Bootstrape was downloaded and upon installing it proceed to download/install MS Visual c++ Express Edition: During installation it would download :

• MS Silverlight Runtime 1.4 MB
  

• MS SQL Server 2008 Express Edition 86 74 MB

As an optional, but MS Visual c++ Express Edition is alone 92MB and installs on C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\ : what i want to know is after download install will i be able to extract the setup of MS Visual c++ Express Edition , so that i can later use it to install on my pc. Since Express Edition is a freeware...i got many other links to Express edition with DVD iso with size 800/700 MB which i don't require.  Is it possible to extract the setup of MS Visual c++ Express Edition, backing the Registry is not a problem for me:

WinImage is a fully-fledged disk-imaging suite for easy creation, reading and editing of many image formats and fileystems, including DMF, VHD, FAT, ISO, NTFS and Linux. The disk image is an exact copy of a physical disk (floppy, CD-ROM, hard disk, USB, VHD disk, etc.)

Download WinImage any version:
U see i use v8.5, v3 and v4 also runs on my PC, but strangly v5 doesn't run: When i check the Task Manager it consume a little about 4000K of memory:

Readme for WInimage v5 clearly states:

If you are running MSDOS + Windows 3.1x, you need to install Win32s 1.30.
There is a link to download Win32s at http://www.winimage.com/othertl.htm
You can also add FDREAD.EXE to your AUTOEXEC.BAT to read 1.68/DMF floppies.

(Note : FDREAD is only for MSDOS 5.x/6.x, NOT for Windows 95/Windows NT)

So i proceeded to install Win32s 1.30, still i dont see the interference: Winimage v5 was Win 98 platform : but i m using Winxp SP3. So i presume it has to be compatibility issues:

General Software Discussion / Can i upgrade to MS-DOS v6 or v6.22

Hello folks,
         lately this germ is creeping inside of me to upgrade my MS-DOS v5 to MS-DOS v6.22, i found couple of post while searching GOOGLE but it made me more confused. So i just want some info regarding this.
           Has someone or anyone upgraded their MS-DOS to v6. i h' the DOS v6.0 and v6.22 as well, but the README.NOW of MS-DOS 6.22 clearly states this:

The MS-DOS 6.22 Step-Up updates your system from MS-DOS 6, 6.2
or 6.21 to MS-DOS 6.22.

IMPORTANT: To use the MS-DOS 6.22 Step-Up, you must be running the  released version of MS-DOS 6, MS-DOS 6.2 or  MS-DOS 6.21. If you are running an older version of MS-DOS, a beta  version of MS-DOS, or any version of MS-DOS that was   modified by a hardware vendor, you cannot use the MS-DOS 6.22  Step-Up. To install MS-DOS 6.22 on such a system, obtain the  full MS-DOS 6.22 Upgrade product.

How can someone check which version of DOS he is using:

General Software Discussion / Need help regarding DOS and BAT files.

Hello folks, i need some advise. u see i really want to learn more about making Batch file n DOS. Although i had some training in DOS in my formative years; but  that was only basics.
         I serched through web and couldn't find any decent materials, only some examples. Although making BAT file to run some appli isn't new or hard for me. Its because i want to advance to learn C++ (i did learn C++, but it was on unusual time, back then i wasn't interested and uncooperative with teachers). I heard that making/learning BATCH file is the basic to learn any programming language.
          Could someone help me here regarding my query i.e.,( understanding ONLY BATCH FILE AND DOS). Any suggestion welcomed.

Hello folks,
              u see i h some huge data (ie., setup.exe etc) on my harddisk,time to burn it on a DVD. i want to make a nice looking Autorun menu page.
 Currently i m using Autrun typhoon, i wanted to make a menu page, where upon clicking ay particular button another small page would show with a picture and small details about the application.

Something like this.This autoplay was in one of the DVD's that came with a PC Magazine.

Can anyone suggest any Autorun program, any Retail or one that can create a Professional looking Autorun.
i dont intend to buy these product as i'll use it only for hobby.

General Software Discussion / Any Portable Tool to make a Portable Application.

Hello folks,
           i will get straight to the point , i keep formatting my PC, every 2/3 times a week or in a 2 weeks time. Due to swapping Vista/Win7/Xp/Win 2000 and sometimes due to virus infection. I already h' an Image Back-up of my Drive, but old habits die hard....
 Then again i h' to start all over installing all the Application from scratch. MS-Office, Winrar , Winzip ,Notepad++ , Nero ,etc etc...are a must have in my PC. And installing other Programs which i use just for fun ,Pc Tweaking and hobby namely Photoshop Cs2 ,Video Converter ,Music Converter, Renamer , CCleaner , Registry Defragmenter etc etc...are some application i use sometimes,but i do use them.
Lately i m seeing a lot of potential in having a Program in a Portable version.Having them in a portable version seems not too bad. I made some Portables like CCleaner, Music, Video Converter etc etc..and the amount of time and Resource they comsume are almost same/normal to the real Program installed in the PC. Hope u'r understanding.
I m using UPX, Portable Apps Creation Master 1.6  a freeware to compress and make a portable version.
But the program.exe residing in a given Folder also contains,help, dll,uninstaller etc etc ....whole files that are created during the Installation of a given program. Is their any other Retail/Freeware version that can make a single exe file which can be launched from anywhere that portable application is.  
I tried making PSCS2 portable but it says the User Registration info is missing , PS is closing now. This is just an Example, their are a lots of PS CS3/CS4 in portable Version all over the Internet. 
Their are some other programs i want in portable version namely DiskDirector Suite, 3gp video Converter,Win Utilities and the list goes on and on......
I see it is good to h' them in Portable version, it can save a loooooot  of time for me  
I reeeally want to h'a portable Photoshop Cs2 , u know how much time it takes to install n register the dam Programs...

Can someone suggest tried and tested Tool of the trade for this,

Its a neat program with many funtions and i think a lot of people could use it. Although i managed to get another trial version from the Homepage, getting to activate and make it a full version is a totally different ballgame.
I tried looking in the Regisrtry but could couldn't find a trace, checked it in the Windows/Currentversion/Uninstall :although here the Program seems to be Registered and using this doesn't seem to activate the Product.
  My best guess either the Registry key is Encrypted.
  Likewise i do not want to infringe the Forum rule's, since it is a Giveaway, n i most certainly will format my PC, dont know when in this coming week, not to mention how many times. It would be a waste to loose this Product.
  Hope, u h' understood my Querry. Can someone find the Registry key.

General Software Discussion / Cyclic Redundancy Error on CD/DVD

Hello Folks,
              once again, can anyone help me. U see i h' few too many mp3, doc, and txt files i h' collected over a period of Month. Past few Weeks i tried to copy the content of the CD/DVD to my D: but after few mins of Pasting job , an error would pop up saying , so n so files cannot be copied: " Cyclic Redundancy Error ". Only half the contect in CD/DVD would be copied.
   Can anyone suggest me some measure/methods/solution, for this issue. 
I h tried POWER CD/DVD RECOVERY, but that piece of Program is good for Scratched CD/DVD'S, it takes too long to retrieve the DATA: i simply exit the program.

Hello folks , once again. i need  a small help here,,,,i had some setup.exe warez, and i was thinking if i could re-pack the setup.exe, after installation back to setup.exe. (fully working)
                    Since i usually dont remember n tend to delete them, from my Folder n Recycle Bin.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello folks this is my first ever post here at Donationcoder ,
                     i h some Video TUT to upload...i made the Video by Camstasia 3 , although i h v6 , but it tends to bogg down my System while recording,,,while searching thru GOOGLE i found this thread about converting swf to avi Camstudio/SWF uploaded , where this guy has uploaded a swf video. (clicking on the link, opened the TUT in another html page)
          Can someone suggest me how can i achieve that in like manner(ie.,to show swf in another html),,,,the TUT i came up  was for UHARC (compressor) (avi uploaded in utube)
I would be very obliged if someone could help me here....(plz bare with my writing)
