I have to say I'd rather keep the age displayed (I've used it already today to quickly find out how old two nephews are, and I'm not sure I'd prefer having to click or hover to find that out. I'd rather lose the permanent note display, if the issue is maximising horizontal real-estate.
    Hi Skwire.
nice app. tend to agree with above. having 65 living 1st cousins plus numerous neices and nephews the age column is great.
Any possibility to having the columns be made to stay at last state after closing the app.
Some  of my columns tend to disappear  (year and/or age) after closing and I have to fiddle around to find them to dispay

Here's what kalos and I came up with.  "Text Targets" is the name.

    Download

    Features
    • Unicode compatible.  The app can read UTF-16 or UTF-8 files.  Target files are written in UTF-8.
    • Select up to thirty target files.
    • Each target file can have its own hotkey.  Spacebar skips a line.

    Workflow
    • Choose a source file.
    • Set destination/target files.
    • Click Start.
    • The "Line" field will then show the first line of the source file.
    • At this point, you can choose a target file for the line or simply skip it.
    • After choosing a target file or skipping, the next line is shown and so on until you click Stop or reach the end of the source file.
    • Lines that were sent to a target file are removed from the source file once Stop is clicked or the end of the file is reached.  Skipped lines remain in the source file.
    (see attachment in previous post)

    Hi Skwire.

had a try with this AHK   and I find that my target file gets put in at the beginning of the 1st line.
also the hotkeys aren't being saved just been using control 1  control 2 in trying this out.

Would you try this version?  I commented out the section of the loop where it detects if the FavesSA program is running.  That's likely to be the CPU expensive section.

edit: the reason the file is large is I disabled UPX compression.

edit2: I phased out the FavesSA support as it's a lot of resources for limited functionality.
Also I added some calls after completed functions to reduce memory footprint.  The new
version 1.4 is available on my hotkeys page:

    http://www.favessoft.com/hotkeys.html

(If it still runs up the CPU let me know. But I suspect the call to ProcessExists() to check if FavesSA is running, in the loop was the resource eater.)

Hi Milesahead  Great little program only trouble I have with it is Control numpad minus is also the hotkey for decreasing the font size in Chrome.   Control numpad plus being for enlarging the font size.
Any chance of a choice of another hotkey being assigned to your program to cover the problem.

    http://kb.mozillazine.org/BCC

this link will give some idea of Thunderbirds limitations as to group  messaging

The main thing is to test with just a few email addresses to my tip to you is to include your own mail address in with the BCC  that will ensure that you can see if you are doing things right.
my example in the previous should work

    .

    lanux128

Thanks for the link. It looks like somehting that is usable except that I see that when I send an email all the recipients email adresses are shown in the list. I am porbavly looking for some kind of hiding method, so the list is private.

Use the Blind CC option        enter ie name of the group   Examplegroup<your own email address>into the email address line .

(include the <  > as shown above)

    Skip the cc  line

enter the emails of that group you wish to send to under the Blind CC line

All each person in that group will see is Examplegroup<your own email address>

do that for each group renaming the Examplegroup to the corresponding group of people

What you are doing here is sending an email to yourself and the Blind CC will cover sending to each individual in that group without anybody seeing the other email addresses

Remember to put a comma between each email address and have no spaces.

    Hope that helps

This is a great idea for a program.  Thanks paarkhi and skwire!  I tried this last night, but nothing showed up in my context menu.  I figured when I rebooted in the morning it'd show up.  I did find the 'Files 2 Folder' entry, but ONLY in the Quick Launch items context menus!  The files on my Desktop didn't have the entry, and trying the context menu with an open Explorer didn't help.

At this point I'd like to ask what might prove to make me look stupid, but where are the hidden settings?  I've used a lot of stuff I haven't been shy messing with as far as settings, like Rainlender, Sumarize, etc.  I tried opening Files2Folder.exe in ResHacker, but didn't see them there.  I didn't see a folder in 'Application Data.'  I thought maybe I had to point to the desktop or something, although that really doesn't make any sense.

I should add my context menus are a bit jazzed up.  I use MMM+, and Folder Guide.  Would that interfere with the registration process?  Also, I hadn't quite read down here far enough to figure out I should've answered Yes when the initial prompt to register appeared.  I said No on the first run, and when I realized my mistake went back and said Yes on the second run.  Like I said, the entry did appear after in one context menu, just not everywhere.

    Anyone have any ideas?

I couldn't get it to go until I uninstalled Folder Guide,  MMM and another context menu program MooO  so there must be a correlation between having Context menu programs and Files2Folders
So will settle with the latter its the one I would have the most use for.
    Thanks skwire another good program..

    v1.0.4 build 1 - 2010-02-04
        * Revamped Trout's upper GUI.  (Thanks, Lesmo16)
            1) Larger, multi-line title text area.  Right-clicking on this area will allow you to copy the text to your clipboard.
            2) Larger album art.
            3) Volume control moved horizontally under the control buttons.
+ Under Tools, Options, String formatting tab, you can now preview any and all formatting changes easily.

Hopefully, I didn't break anything.  =]  However, if I did, you can download the older version here:

Here's how the new changes turned out.

    Hi skwire
Maybe a bug under Tools\Options\Audio notification on new track\Enable--TTS $title as token

On playing new song it gives the last song played.

It should only register for files.  If you have a folder selected, the entry won't show.  Perhaps that is the issue?

definitely not showing at all . Uninstalled and reset it again even rebooted ......nothing

How would I program Alt F4 with AutoHotKey?
    ..................
    and none of them worked.

    can anyone help?

have you tried the AutoHotkey forum someone there will sure help you and they are very good if someone like yourself have had a go using Autohotkey and can provide the problem in detail and the attempts made as well.
Give them a go then post your solution here when you are successful

Show hundredths of seconds:  Can you show the hundredths of seconds...for precision timing.

Most likely not, sorry! With manual starting and stopping, it doesn't seem to make sense to have such a high precision. I check the time every second only four times a second to keep the CPU usage low.

The Windows timer message is not very reliable. If the computer is busy doing other things, timer messages are sometimes dropped. My stopwatch will make up for it, since it doesn't just count seconds, but calculates the interval from the last timer tick. So in theory I could show the time with millisecond precision, but in practice it would be deceitful to do so, as the measure would not be that precise.

Could you perhaps create two versions one as it is and one with hundredths of seconds...for precision timing would suit me as well

Just a suggestion    btw nice clean interface with all those options it's just great looking
