Circle Dock / Re: Circle Dock v1.00 Beta 1
« on: December 11, 2009, 03:09 PM »

In the error message you get when starting Circle Dock, what character are you seeing for the file path that should be a back-slash ("\")? You should see something like "C:\Program Files\CircleDock\System\Settings\Config.ini". Maybe the answer to that will give me a clue.

Mark

hi Mark, I finally found the problem, it was just me, unable to follow instructions carefully.
I reread the steps on top, and realized, I never placed your beta version into the proper folder of the old installed version.
I apologize for the confusion this caused, and will now go and do it properly!

I think the answer to both your problems lies in your Unicode settings ... please check them.

Mark
hi Mark, I went to the settings, and checked, but every setting I can see, says German, or Germany.
I can change the country, but I don't see, where to change the "unicode" setting?

Edit: I just saw the new reply of sgtevmckay, its ok then, I will wait, till final is out, and try out circle dock again.
thank you both for continuing this project!

I have the same problem as ppass , as circle dock refuses to install.
I also receive a similar error message, except I am on windows vista home premium.
with German as my system language.

General Software Discussion / Re: looking for...a wiki?
« on: September 13, 2008, 08:12 AM »
you already said, you are not looking for an online solution, but just in case you are reconsidering it, I have a friend who tried this and she is quite happy with how it works.
Shrugs , how about go and see it if you have time, cannot hurt.

Easy Way to Create Your Own Wiki
Wikis can be thought of as user modifiable web pages. It sounds attractive but in reality most wiki software requires both site owners and users to acquire some rather arcane markup language skills to make the system work. This site seeks to overcome this barrier by employing new wiki software that features a user-friendly interface.

General Software Discussion / Re: Let go of your bookmarks!
« on: July 12, 2008, 03:43 AM »
gmail has been my bookmark system for 2 years, since I found toread.cc .
virtually everything, I found interesting while surfing and browsing, I will just hit my toread.cc script in the booksmarks, and it goes with link to my gmail account.
till now, I have 40,000 *emails* or links in my gmail account, of course, not all from toread.cc, but half of them? sure.
and if I need something, I just use some keywords, and gmail usually gives me the correct file I was looking for.
Rather than google.com, which might also have lots of junk in between the results.

i have been using for two years now a combination of textsaver http://www.programat...ix.de/textsaver.html
(unfortunately, its only available in german, but i am sure, there must be some english equivalent somewhere)

and www.toread.cc to store a copy of everything that i found useful, in my gmail account. with that, i can easily run search in my gmail account, and find it later again.

they also have a portable version.

I am looking for a program to extract hiden links inside a site starting with let say for example "http://www.rapidshare.de/" . Is there any program to do this or anyone has any idea or comment?

Regards
Steve

I am using either of these two programs, if I want to batch download files from rapidshare & other temp. hoster:
http://www.rapget.com/en/index.html
http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=1111

http://translate.goo...dimonius.ru/dusd.php
http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=1251

both still require you to manually put in the links, but after that, I can leave my computer on overnight, and the next day, all files are on my harddrive.
