One caveat - the application defaults to sending information to Norton about what caused the prompt and what your response to it was. See link for more details http://www.betanews...._feedback/1223668881

I have the installer for WizQuote v1.0, which was freeware. The license allows for redistribution, so if anyone is interested let me know and I can provide you with it

General Software Discussion / Re: Download Managers

Free download manager may be able to let you do that - http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/
They have a decent category based filtering system...

You could also checkout WinWorkBar at http://vetch.magot.pl/

This is a utility I have been using for about 5 years now and have read very little about it online... So figured that I would spread the word.
http://www.conceptwo...ky/piky_features.asp
"With Piky Basket, you can reduce repetitive tasks when copying/moving files and folders in Windows. Piky Basket allows you to select files/folders in to a "basket" from different locations. Once you are done selecting, you can paste them all at once to the target folders. It also allows you to selectively paste the files to the target folder."
Also lets you copy the path to clipboard and launch a command prompt, but it is the first feature that totally rocks.

This is similar to what you are looking for - InfoTip - http://www.na.rim.or...~norio/index-e.shtml - You need to add the info in a tab under properties though and not just as a text file in the folder.
The page also has another utility, ZipTip - shows the contents of zip files in a tooltip.
You should check these out even they are not the exact same utility.
Great little timesavers... have been using these for about 7 years with no issues (even though the site says alpha)

-Edited to make sense... re-read what I wrote and realized that it was incoherent... well is 4:00am and I havent slept-

This may be slightly off-topic, but there is an utility called Tray Module - http://am-production...Module&showall=1 which creates a floating system tray. You could then hide the tray in the taskbar and create more space. Unfortunately it doesnt work well with XP. If anyone could create something similar that would be awesome.
P.S: The site has a lot of cool utilities.

Finished Programs / DONE - IDEA: Program Lock / Protector
« on: May 01, 2005, 09:17 AM »
Hi,
I was thinking of a program that would lock the current state of another program and will not let you change the settings of the locked program till you provide the password. For eg. If I lock my Instant Messenger client, no one will be able to log me out or change any of my settings until I unlock it with the password.
