NOTE:  Sale ends in 6 days !

I hope other folks find deals like these to be of interest, though it is not "specifically" a software deal per se. When I utilize IT training books and/or reference books to help with learning about software, its proper and advanced usage, I tend to feel that there's a useful relationship. That it might also benefit others as well.

It's posted on Humblebundle as, "$565 worth of digital books".
This times the bundle is regarding  Security/Hacking and is called, "Hacking REloaded".
All books are from No Starch Press.

Many of the  books are fairly recent releases. With release dates as recent as 2017, 2016
So the books are not some old , outdated stuff.

This deal came up on humblebundle recently. I also received an email newsletter from them.

I have their desktop/laptop version. A multi user [family?] license. I've had good success with it so far.
It does find quite a lot of extra garbage that is left by window's and the vendor's, uninstall programs.
Only one minor issue with the desktop version,  there was a licensing number mix up and they had to reissue 1 or 2 new license numbers.

I jumped in on their portable deal when it was available.  Hopefully it will use just the one license number , as it moves from one pc to another. Without having any problems like the other license did.

Hi,

This isn't software per se,  but it is IMHO,  a decent looking set of ebooks on Coding and Programming of software. Along with performing better at your current IT related job. And/Or making the move into the arena of IT related jobs out there. If you are so inclined to do so.

The folks at Humble Bundle have another bundle, that include titles related to Python,Javascript, HTML5 plus other titles for those folks searching for jobs within the IT and/or coding/programming community.

As usual with Humble Bundle, a donation [payment?] of $1.00 gets you the 1st level of books. An $8.00 or more gets you the 1st AND 2nd levels of ebooks. While $15.00 or more gets you access to the entire collection. Levels of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd sets of ebooks [The whole enchilada].

While not for everyone, myself I've normally found enough value in a few of the coding/programming ebooks, so as to purchase the entire collection with the $15.00 or more price tag.

Below is the direct link:

Note: Sale is supposed to only run through Aug 26,2017. (occasionally I've seen software vendors allow their coupon/discount deals to run beyond the stated END DATE, but this has not happened very often with Codeweavers).

ATTN all linux or mac users wanting a decent emulation product, allowing you to run Windoze products on your Linux, and/or Mac computers.

I just received an email from Codeweaver with the following offer:

Codeweaver Crossover for Linux (or Mac) $26, thru 8-26-17

[NOTE: I am NOT an affiliate, nor in anyway associated with, nor receive any compensation from Codeweavers. I'm just a customer, who has bought their Crossover-Linux product in the past and I receive their email newsletters].
