Welcome Duncan, haven't recently but used to watch your videos

I read this on ghacks today. It seems an interesting and relatively untapped area for new software to be written, wonder if anybody knows more software to make program moves easier or may be can even do one. Thoughts? :)

Something like Nirsoft's SmartSniff that shows ports, 'service name' and the size and content of packets can do some of the things too and it also has a filter to look for specific patterns in the traffic

Thanx for the reply. Conveyor belt preferably but slide show is good too, sorry if my post was confusing.

Does anyone know of a freeware Flash slideshow maker, that shows the images/runs automatically. Sort of like the flash version of this at dynamicdrive. Thanx.

I think its been mentioned but is still a relative unknown. I really like Ac Browser Plus especially how well it handles archives or at least zip files.

Living Room / Re: Netvibes - What do you think?

I have never been into RSS readers or start pages much, years ago I did set up a My Yahoo page which I sometimes look at to this day. When I get online I usually end up going through a bunch sites and browse and read on the sites themselves. Experimented with having some feeds on Flock recently, not sure I will continue using it.

Developer's Corner / Re: Need a custom CMS in PHP

Just in case this topic is revisited, I would recommend CMSMadeSimple, in my opinion it's not the easiest but it's not too complicated either

General Software Discussion / Re: Why Windows must go open source
« on: March 07, 2009, 02:33 AM »
The world needs bigger and more Canonicals that promote the likes of Ubuntu. Many distros are caught in the need to be 'Enterprise ready' so they are competing with MS with an angle that in many ways is already won, in the server space. Windows being open source or not will continue to dominate the consumer market unless there is a bigger consumer push.

Thank you mouser :)

My mouse is probably the oldest technology of anything I have, a Dell ball mouse

Thanx mouser, added the site to my profile. Just something I started a few months ago to write about software and other topics. My main experience, if that's the right word, has/is being admin/webmaster of a few soccer sites.

After a couple of years of visiting, reading the blog and forum and downloading a few, especially AHK stuff...finally registered and did my very small part and donated a bit (and added an article on my crappy site too)
Hi everybody, from Canada :)
