I am trying the Logitech Mx Master 2 and 3.. Both are good enough.
I've been using a 2s for years. The only thing I don't like about it (still) is the angle of my hand while using it. Coming from using a vertical mouse, it took some getting used to and still causes me some discomfort.
The back and forward buttons on the Mx Master 2 are much worse than they were in pervious models -- they are tiny and on top of (overlapping even) each other.  The MX Master 3 are much more reasonable.  For that reason alone the MX Master 3 gets my vote by a mile.
Those are my copy/paste buttons.  :D
The wheel is very strange how once you start rolling it it just goes on forever.. I'm still getting used to it, but I could take it or leave it.
I like how it has 2 of them. I use the side wheel as volume control.
If the battery life holds up I'll be satisfied.

I get pretty good batter life on mine, and I like how you can still use it while it's charging.

McAfee has a special tool for complete removal of their products.

Use Option 2 (MCPR): https://www.mcafee.c...p;shell=article-view

I found some more that I made...road sign style:

There's more in the pack, but the rest are blank road signs, which you can customize to suit your own purposes.

Kind of sad not to see him around and wonder if he at least still checks in now and then.

He's still around. But he might be a bit busy at the moment, or he might have overlooked this post.

Also, clipart creation isn't really his specialty, so if there's anything you'd like to see in a future clipart pack, please do let me know, and I'll try to accommodate.  :)

This may be useful for you, to write your own. (or maybe not)

I remember making a pack, but I don't remember if mouser included them with the program.

I have attached them to this post.

Windows already does this, for all supported devices. (older BT devices don't support this feature)

Go to Settings/Devices and you should see a list that looks something like this:

Screenshot - 8_6_2023 , 4_42_47 PM.png

If you don't see your device in the list, it hasn't been paired with your PC.
If you see it in the list but no battery indicator, then your device doesn't support it, and no 3rd party program will make it support it. (it most likely is using an older version of BT)

I was never interested in social media, but

But you are here, on this forum, which is an older form of social media.  8)

Most of us on there are Friendfeed refugees that needed a place to call home (that wasn't Facebook), after Facebook killed off Friendfeed. It's also a decent substitute for Medium, supporting similar style long form articles (Texts), formatted with markdown.

Feature-wise, it's a bit like if Twitter, Facebook, and Medium were whipped up together in a blender, but without any of the stupid corporate BS or drama. It was built by a fellow Friendfeed refugee who fully understood what it was that we all really wanted.

It has an API, if you want to roll your own tools and apps that can work with it, or you can use this guide and example to import your activities from your other social networks and websites, with IFTTT.

It has groups, but they aren't listed anywhere officially, and you can't search for them, which is why I created this group to catalog the English speaking ones. Between this and the Firehose, they would be your best options for finding people to follow.

Or you could follow me, or at the very least hit up my subscriptions list, which has most of the English speakers on Mokum.

I deleted my account when he lost his privacy and security execs. It wasn't much of a loss for me, though, considering my main social media usage has been on Mokum for quite a number of years, now.

What if Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive cockroach?

It would probably end up something like this:

Good to see you app! Haven't seen you aroudn recently!

I am at one of those pesky crossroads where you become rather busy trying to figure out what to do with the next chapter of your life. In other words, currently unemployed and trying to decide what comes next.

The Logitech MX Master 2S mouse is not yet compatible with the new Logi Options+ software. Installing it will cause your mouse to have severe bluetooth connectivity problems, making your mouse unusable.

Despite this, a glitch is causing the software to being pushed out to MX Master 2S owners. If you get the notification to upgrade, or see the link to do so on your current software dashboard, don't do it! Stick with the older Logitech Options software you already have.

If you do inadvertently install the Options+ software, you'll have to plug in a USB mouse so that you can uninstall it, then un-pair your MX Master 2S, power it off and back on again, then re-pair it with your computer.

I also use RSS to keep track of YouTube Channels.

I have a locally installed Wordpress multisite (Bitnami) and use one of my sites to import Youtube videos, using a paid autoposting plugin (WP Automatic). Once I have watched a video, I just delete the post by clicking on the admin bar.

What is nice about using this plugin is that it can also automatically import videos by keyword, rather than from specific channels, OR by keyword from a specific channel or playlist. And it can import content from a lot of other sources, too, not just Youtube.

I have a list of sites I visit, some daily, some weekly, and some monthly, and I don't want to forget to visit them (they give away free stuff). In order to ensure I do remember to visit them, I use a Notezilla note to automatically open them on a specific time & date, and it repeats daily, weekly, or monthly, as required. Since I always have Notezilla open any way, it doesn't use any extra resources that it wouldn't normally have already used.

If you have Notezilla or another sticky note app, or task scheduler, or anything else capable of opening a URL and scheduling it, that you normally use any way, that could be a good solution for you.

If you say so. I never "tasted" an application before.

You're missing out! You haven't lived until you've tasted an application. ;) :P
They make great appetizers.  8)

I love The HU!  :-*

Really love this one:

I don't buy very many CDs these days, but I bought theirs.

General Software Discussion / Re: Opera Start Page Question

Okay, so how well does Pale Moon deal with the asshat sites that "require" Chrome? Pale Moon Site says it's Goanna based - never heard of it - so what's it Goanna do when it encounters the Chromium canvas control and friends?

Goanna is a fork of Mozilla's Gecko. It's not perfect, but no solution ever is. If you come across a site that doesn't work with it, report it to the developer. You'll find that Pale Moon supports much more than the last Gecko based version of Firefox does.

However, should you end up needing a working user agent switcher add-on, for sites that engage in browser bigotry for no good functional reason, contact me privately. I have an old Firefox one that has been edited to work with Pale Moon, that I can't share publicly. ;)

Hay, while we're playing whose got the most browsers.

And now you know why I have so many browsers.  ;)

You can launch Pale Moon with the -P parameter to force it to show the Profile Manager, which would allow you to launch multiple instances of Pale Moon, each using a different profile. Each profile would have it's own everything...bookmarks, history, cookies, add-ons, etc. The Profile Manager also lets you quickly and easily create new profiles on the fly, as well as delete those that you no longer need. To force Pale Moon to always show the Profile Manager, just append the -P parameter to the shortcut target that you use to launch the browser.

You can populate the start page with a bunch of dials at once by selecting multiple bookmarks and pasting them into the Fast Dial favorites folder.

It supports folders, too. ;)

I use Opera for work, and Vivaldi for everything else. (I love Vivaldi's multi-level tab stacking, a feature that Opera unfortunately does not have.)

Under Settings, scroll to the bottom and then click to show advanced settings. Then keep scrolling till you get to the Start Page settings, and turn this switch on:

I’ve been listening to a lot of Symphonic Metal lately.

If you've never heard of a band called Shadow Gallery, you should check them out.

And something very special that's not on that playlist, just for Pink Floyd fans:
