    Description
Build a launch file to launch files of certain types in certain applications skipping the system file associations.  You should be able to use this as well on portable devices as long as the computer you intend to use it on has .NET 4.0. by using the DropZone that is included.

    Features
    Portable enabled.
Shows an open with menu when it detects you have more than one type of an extension in the launch file configuration.
You can also create application listings with specific command line arguments to do certain things for you when launching the file.

    screen_dropzone.png

The launcher when it has detected that you have multiple file extensions of the same type in the launch file configuration.
    screen_openwith.png

    Usage

    Installation
Extract to an application folder outside of the normal program files folder making sure to extract it with folder structure intact.

    Using the Application
To act as a launcher for file types you specify from the launch file editor.  For non flash drive you can add a shortcut in the SendTo folder of your system that points to the launcher. Then when you right click a file goto the Send To menu and select the shortcut to launch with the launcher.  This also has the added benefit of not having to change file associations on the system.  Currently to use from your flash drive or portable hard drive you would need to use the DropZone with the launcher and launch configuration file in the folder that the DropZone is.

    DropZone Skins
Any png file with alpha transparency placed into the skins folder.

    ac_arguments.dat
Feel free to edit that file in your favorite text editor for argument auto complete to show up when adding and/or editing an application.  Note: One set of arguments per line.

    Help File
Please note that the help file is not done.

    Uninstallation
    Just delete the application folder.

    Known Issues
Currently do not know of any.

General Software Discussion / Firefox Extension Guru's Blog
    « on: April 11, 2011, 12:16 AM »

Here is a pretty nifty blog that talks about firefox that I have been visiting recently.

It mentions of a extension called Status-4-Evar which I like cause I like the normal status bar myself.

Info about Status-4-Evar on Firefox Extension Guru's Blog and the link to Status-4-Evar on the addons site... Status-4-Evar

It might be of some worth to people who use firefox.

Living Room / My new digital camera...
      « on: May 03, 2010, 01:51 PM »
My new digital camera which was funded all by DonationCredits and arrived April 30, 2010. Thank you!

The new camera is 12MP and is the FUJIFILM S1800 that came out just this year (March 2010 at Amazon).

A few pictures taken with my older 4MP digital camera and resized down below:

First is the camera box after opening the package from amazon...

      new_camera_box.jpg

Second is the camera and accessories excluding the basic manual and software that came with it...

      camera_and_accessories.jpg

Third is the SDHC card that I got to go with it...

      sdhc_card.jpg

Donating does make a difference and for all the donations I received from donators that are too numerous to name them all...

Heres one of the photos I have taken with the new camera (in super macro mode) and cut from 4000x3000 to 1680x1050 for my screen resolution so I could use it as a wallpaper image...

Here is something that was on the CBS Early Show.  It is about a promotion a place in North Carolina is doing. Instead of doing christmas cards and such they decided to do something unique. From what the CBS Early Show revealed he only gets 51 minutes per day I believe it was outside of the snow globe to do what he cannot do in the snow globe.

      How to get...

Type one of the aliases that is specified with an icon in it.

      Ex. type dc test

then... right click on the dc forum alias and click copy target path or hit ctrl + c.

then try pasting and you should get

      https://www.donation...=search2;search=test /ICON=icons\donationcoder.ico

I don't think it should copy the icon part.  :)

This program allows you to have a simple, compact, no frills autorun menu on your cd. It comes with a menu configuration builder that will help with creating the menu.  You can have a total of 5 launch buttons to launch a file or a website.  You should test the menu by running the exe before you burn it to disc as if it works before burnt it should work once burnt if you have your autorun.inf file configured properly. The config builder can create the autorun.inf for you along with a copy of the exe named the same as the config.  You can also do manual editing of the configuration by opening a configuration in a text editor if you so choose.  Play around and see what you can create! Here is a screenshot of the example included in the download of how it looks on Windows 2000.  If you have another operating system and try it then it would be nice if you could post a screenshot here of the example or of your menu that you create.

      Screenshot:

      screen_07092007_002.jpg

Should work on at least Win9X/ME/2000/XP/VISTA.

This tool looks nice from what I have seen on their site.  I have not tried it out yet, but it does appear to be created in .NET.  If you are looking to make wood textures then it might be nice to give it a whirl and see what you can make that you like.

The Wood Workshop is a free seamless texture editor that specializes in the creation of seamless wood textures.
