Okay, so here's an update:

I just found out that this offer ends at NOON PST. That's less than 3 hours from now. Also, for me to gift it to you with your Steam user name, we actually need to add each other to our friends lists. So if you don't want to do that, then I'll need your e-mail address instead of your Steam user name.

Hurry! Time's almost up!

I already did all that, hopefully it's not too late.

buy one for gexecuter, ill send a DC cred.
Half life is a great game, everyone deserves it :D

Thanks for the offer p3lb0x but Mouser already set me up with some credits in order to make the transaction with Deozaan.

I wonder how the "Planets" theme works. Gmail asked for my country and town so it must that info for something right?

I wish i could buy this but unfortunately i can't use paypal or credit cards so i am screwed  :( Thankfully i will finish my career in less than a year so i should be able to get a credit card when i am working.

230
Interesting, i may give it a try and eventually write about it in my blog.

DC Member Programs and Projects / Re: XPlorerSkin
« on: October 10, 2008, 09:21 PM »
It is in 2 parts on my website coz i use a free host with 500kb filesize limit. The full file is attached to the main post.
Making a skin is as easy as operating MSPaint - take a look at the current skins for an idea on what you should aim for.
Different explorer settings require slightly different skin sizes.
One day - and if enuff people like it - I will make that all automagic. And include a skinmaker. :D

Oh i see, the 500KB limit sucks a lot. Have you though of trying out a free hosting service like skydrive?

Oh and i blogged about your program, i hope you don't mind.

Interesting little program. Can you make your own skins right? do you have any documents that show how?

Also why did you make the XPlorerSkin download in two parts? it doesn't make sense.

I wonder if this is common among electronic products.

DriverMax not really a freeware... requires a "free" registration code to run and a user account. Also, you must give DriverMax.com permission to transmit and use information about driver updates, information about unknown hardware, information about your computer's installed hardware... yikes.

You could backup with DriverBackup!, Driver Magician Lite, Double Driver, and etc. and use Windows driver install wizard to restore.

getting a free registration key is not something that would stop me from using program. getting a key is something that takes only minutes in my experience and i would gladly do it for a good program.
The giving information about your PC is not good tough....

btw Driver Magician Lite only backups your drivers, it doesn't restore them which is pretty dumb if you think about it. I haven't heard about the other two.

236
I have heard that drivermax is pretty good, tough i haven`t tried it myself. Might wanna check it out yourself.

Alarm is also a free alarm program but unfortunately it can't set up more than one alarm.

This sucks!

Cool but i wish there was a mode where webpages can't know anything about you, like when using proxies. Because it appears that websites will still be capable of gathering info about you according to that article.

Oh i am also very lazy.

for someone who writes so much in their blog you have a strange definition of the word lazy!  :tellme:

My blog is mostly a hobbie. I mean things like studying and cleaning up my room, stuff like that.

Wow, gexecuter, that's really a great way to show off great freeware, and you've done a lot of hard work to date. Thanks!! I added it to my blogroll.

Thanks a lot! i will do my best  ;D

Hey! Welcome to the site gexecuter! Great to see you stop by.

Really nice blog.  If you have a favorite review or two of yours from your archive you might post links so people can check them out (otherwise guys just go browse his archive, it's packed to overflowing!).

This looks like a great website and i am glad i joined your small corner of the internet.

Favorite reviews? umm i am sure i can think of a couple...

The PureText review and the Double Killer come to mind. i think they are pretty decent.

oh and if you guys are going to look up really earlier posts (like from january 2008 and before that) keep in mind that most of them were horribly written and some don't even have a review! yeah i got lazy and copy pasted the descriptions but later i got serious and started writing real reviews.
