Wow that surprises me.. Ok I must be overlooking something.
Thanks for the testing, I'll have a new version to test soon -- I'll get this fixed.
If there's anything specific you want me to check out let me know.

152
Still no shortcut icons with v2.221.01.

153
Mouser, for some reasone I still can't download the beta. Gets stuck about halfway through.

154
Beta doesn't want to be downloaded right now. I'll try again tomorrow.

Win 8.1 pro on laptop with high dpi screen:
- no icons

ok i need some assistance -- i just installed farr on a win8 virtual machine and i see icons.
what settings do you have that you think might be responsible for icons not showing?  can you give me any more info -- does it show no icons in any scenario, whether the icons are from typing "cpanel" alias or from browsing directories?
can you check that you have icons in windows explorer?

I see icons both with cpanel and directory browsing, but not with regular application searching. Can't tell you about options though. The options dialog is so tiny it hurts my eyes trying to read it  ;)

156
great -- excellent discovery, then i should be able to fix in short order.
i wonder if people could check the win8 icons in that older one too, to tell me if maybe that problem is new too?
It is. I have icons in that older version, but not in the new one.

157
Here's an older version:
https://www.donation...tPortable_112913.zip
Confirmed, this one is not tiny.

158
It's a 15'' screen, so not extremely tiny. I'm not completely sure, but I think it's a problem of the newest version. Can I download an older release somewhere to make sure?

159
Everything is tiny. This is v2.218.02 on a 4k screen.

Concerning Ctrl + Shift not selecting words: this seems to be a deliberate choice and was also discussed here https://www.donation...ex.php?topic=27154.0 (a long time ago)

It still confuses me every now and then

Never noticed that FARR has undo though :)

161
I tell you what i could do.. I could add a right-click menu item to launch and not add to history, if that would help..

Nah, it would need to be something like Shift+Enter for me to be useful. Better spare yourself the trouble and use your time for something of broader interest.

Or you make your own keyboard layout: The Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator. Used it just recently to resurrect some dead keys :D

163
Ok, thanks mouser.

164
does it exist?

Find And Run Robot / Re: FARR as bookmark manager?
« on: April 09, 2015, 09:05 AM »
You say you don't want to consult browser bookmarks. But the bookmarks need to come from somewhere. They need to be stored somewhere. I'm not aware of FARR being able to store arbitrary information. It mainly queries the file system.

I see. Thank you.

Saving them as aliases would be impracticable I suppose (copy link to FARR box | context menu | add to group alias)?
Well, I guess that depends on how often you want to add/edit/remove bookmarks. If it's only a few which you want to launch over and over again that could be a viable solution. Also managing them in a FARR alias file.

Available now for 1400$ a piece. I doubt I can convince my employer that I need two of those. Well, for that price it's hard to convince myself that I need two of those.

I'm a father myself. I can't imagine anything more painful than one of my children getting seriously hurt or ill or one of them dying. Whenever I read about a child that died the thought comes to mind and my stomach cringes.

Thanks noblejoker. Glad you find it useful!

Hi wideeyedguy

If the Windows Search plugin is not working for you please don't hesitate to post your problems in that specific thread, even if it's 3 years old.

Although I'm not really using the WS plugin I have it installed and it was working just fine when I tried it just now. As you have seen in the WS plugin thread there have been people reporting crashes, which, unfortunately, I have never been able to solve. So, maybe with your help I can try to pinpoint that problem.

+1 w/Renegade. I'm actually doing as much as possible to reduce my technical and energy footprint these days. My new goal: As little as possible - and simplify, simplify, simplify.
 :)

Home automation could actually reduce your energy footprint though.

Interesting concept.
Will it be possible to specify exact sizes?

The current concept assumes that shapes change their sizes depending on with how many other shapes they have to share the available space.

So with exact size, do you mean the size within one cell, or within the whole drawing?

U mnie dziaƂa (Works for me)

Same here I'm afraid.

alxwz, after you authorize on the rmilk.com web page make sure to go back to FARR and hit enter on the single entry that should now be displayed (see Getting started on first post). If it still doesn't work for you let me know.
