LaunchBar Commander / Re: Context Menu closing
« on: March 12, 2013, 07:46 AM »
Launchbar Commander is a really useful tool!  However, I too have noticed that the utility when running steals focus when the context menu/right click functionality is being used. For example, when LBC is running and I try to highlight a number of emails in Outlook and move them to another folder with the right click/Context menu - the menu just blinks off and I have to start over and try again. This also happens with other applications as well. This is not a show stopper for me though, the usefulness of the application trumps the annoyance.

Mouser - Thanks for taking the time to create this utility!

Has this issue been brought up before?

Best regards,

Don

LaunchBar Commander / Re: Excel files don't open

 ;D Thanks Mouser!

Launchbar Commander works great! I downloaded the latest version (1.33.01) and encountered the Excel file issue. After updating with the beta linked (1.34.01) Excel files open smoothly! Great program!

General Software Discussion / Re: SoftMaker Office 2012 BETA testing
« on: September 09, 2012, 03:09 PM »
 I have been using Softmaker Office since 2008 version and I love the software. It's fast and feature rich, the addition of eM client with 2012 Professional edition was a great move!

I use eM client V4.x exclusively for email, and haven't had any problems with it. No software is perfect, but I must say I don't regret switching to Softmaker Office and ditching MS Office.

Just my opinion, I realize your's may vary...

I empathize with you.

I stopped using TheBat! for the same reasons you mentioned, even though I am a licensed user.

I purchased Softmaker Office Pro and part of the suite is the "eM Client" which I have switched to using exclusively for email.

No email client is perfect, however I didn't want to deal with the frustration any longer. It was time to cut bait and run.

Just my opinion, I know many others mileage may vary...

General Software Discussion / Re: Do you touch-type or hunt-and-peck?
« on: October 04, 2009, 10:15 AM »
I learned touch typing on my own and IMO it is a definite must have skill. I can type about 25 wpm (as long as there are no numbers) in the thoughts I am putting down. I still have to look when I want to use numbers in the top row.

Since I have never been taught formal typing, I can't speak to that - but I would think that it would be a benefit to any child in the current technological environment.

Thanks for asking!
