Thanks for thje link, really enjoying the music ATM (add Tequila) ;)  Almost CD quality, yet better than the old before Netscape/AOL took it over & disolved it into crappy quality XM/AOL radio streams :(
Live 365 can also be good too.  Back to the new years booze, peace to all of ya'z.  Check for good tunes, also their listener review channel is good for lesser known tunes.

Finished Programs / Re: MP3 Player

Probably because it's sooooooooooooo old.  That player (AudioActive) hasn't probably been updated in 4-5 years.

I think I'm a fool for not stating this too.  I think it would be in great humor & appreciation to whats going on here if it does make the top10, here is my vote for DonationCoder.Com as i second that nomination.  Hahah can't take things too seriously, we may be biased- but this place rocks!

Nominations for what will be DonationCoder's Guide to the Top 10 New Programs & Websites of the Year for 2005.
The catch is these are websites or softwares that were not around before 2005!

Nominate away! All you want! This is for the best of the best, I'll kick it off with a couple for now:

Website:  Google Maps -  (helped me countless times in the last year)
[debut February 2005]

Program:  ImgBurn -  (okay that kinda counts, but I'm tired at the moment)
[debut October 2005]

hrhrhrhrhr. welcome :)

vBulletin has folders (you can create), so everything you subscribe to, you can sort into those.  It basically stores them there with an option for how each thread is handled through email notification or no email notification.  Very necessary stuff for keeping threads organized. Or you can eliminate your filtered folders and show all subscribed threads together in one long list, again very smart.

Umm No, because no one I know could give a damn about computers, software or what you can do with them.  (or would never take the time to listen or read).  Dr. Windows is exactly what they get! Nice one superboy.

Almost forgot I was a registered user of this program, it's the best one I've ever found.  Very useful if you have need to alter different level controls on a regular basis.

Mini-Reviews by Members / Re: Mp3 Bitrate At A Glance...MP3ext
« on: December 15, 2005, 03:57 PM »
I have used mp3ext for years, but it doesn't support other tags and file formats like ogg, flac, etc...
AudioShell does, but doesn't have the same display of information in the taskbar or tag editing capability.
So, I am hoping someone has another such program on their list?

How often do you have to buy upgrades for the program?  I think when it comes to power, usability and support, it is obvious that Directory Opus, Total Commander (my god all the plug-ins out there for this are insane) & [xplorer2] are the best to choose from in this category.

takes like 10 seconds to register, then you can bump your settings up to 50 items per page, much easier to read that way.

myself & f0dder were discussing computers a bit in the irc chan, just thought this might make an interesting thread.

I'm 30 years old now and this is my history with computers I've owned.

tandy1000 (1986) -> 286 (1993) -> pentium75 (1995) -> pentium 300 (1998) -> pentium 550 (1999) -> amd 1100 (2001) -> amd 2500 (2003-current) -> ????? (amd x2 4400+ coming soon)

I think the purpose to have a blog is to have it separate from the forum.  I realize I am the only one here that probably feels that way, but I figured I'd say something.  I thought the old columns/blogs were great!  I just think there were just some flaws in the way they were presented visually.  I also miss them, but more so in a separate format like they were.

I am going to fixup the computer of a guy i used to work with this morning.  After I remove all the problems (adware, viruses, malware, blah blah blah) and install him the right programs to protect his computer, I will be sure to install this program last as a nice little present.  Thanks ;)

Maxthon fan? More like worshiper! ...and Maxthon has plenty of Plug-ins, but I'm just not that type of guy ;)  I would also have to say maxthon did a stellar job of blocking ads for me, even before i added ad muncher to the mix.

Maxthon plug-Ins -

I just don't have the patience to chase down extensions for Firefox (and then again every time the version changes wait for updates) to make it what i want it to be.  Plus by the time I have the 10-12 extensions that make me somewhat happy the browser has slowed down & taken up too many resources for me.  But I'm not hating on it, I still use it from time to time. Opera isn't capable of what I'm looking for (Roboform support & more customizable toolbars).....yet.

Thanks for the heads up Innuendo! Got me a home version today, glad you spotted the price change as I had just looked a couple days before and it was full price yet.

That's a great idea mouser.  Would be a great way to generate more publicity for the site & it fits right in with what DC is all about.

Have you also checked out the following software, if so what do you think?

zsDuplicateHunter - http://www.zizasoft....ts/zsDuplicateHunter

well we can guess what Zaine will be doing today.  have a nice trip!
