Buzz Folders looks nice. I downloaded the trial to give it a try later today. Until I can, I was wondering if anyone has used both and compared it to Listary? Only from what I've read and the screenshots so far, the two seem similar. Though I do like the Buzz Folders tabs GUI better.

Thanks guys! I'll have to try these. I tried Winstep, even bought a license, and it had an option to include the system tray in it's workshelf or launch window. It seemed to work but I stopped using it because over time my available RAM kept getting less and less.
Sorry to hijack the thread in a different direction... back to the original programming already in progress.

Is it possible to make some type of pop-up of all or part of the system tray with middle click?  With some programs minimizing there, (Screenshot Captor, Clipboard Help & Spell, Ethervane Echo,ClipTrap...etc) at times it would be easier to bring the tray up at the cursor.  For instance, if I'm on an external monitor to the left of my laptop and the tray's waaaaay over on the right  
I've looked around from time to time, usually after I've been doing at lot of right clicks in the system tray on a project, but haven't found anything that says it will do the system tray.  Maybe it isn't even doable?

I've installed and trying out the beta.  I am liking the layout and different options available.  Looks like I am going to have to start saving my pennies for when it comes out of beta.

There is one thing happening to me that I do not know if is a glitch or I just haven't worked with it enough yet. I am running on a dual monitor set-up. External is connected to my laptop.
Main program window is on the external monitor.
If I double-click one of the images in the main program window, a preview screen comes up full screen mode on the laptop screen.  That's ok.
I single-click on a different image in the main program screen and the image changes in the preview screen. Ok too. What I expected.
I click on another different image in the main program window and nothing changes in the preview screen.  Even tried going back to my original selection and no changes in the preview. I close the preview, double-click on a different image and it shows up in the preview. Repeat the same thing above and the same thing happens.

Is it something I'm doing wrong or a glitch?

There's been a few topics & discussions here before on document catalog programs. I searched but nothing came up where this one was mentioned. I should have added more to my post above but I was pressed for time.

Like x16wda says it is pretty convoluted with 2003. But since kalos mentioned using 2003 that is what I had found in an earlier time when I was trying to do the same. I'm also still running 2003 on one machine and didn't have 2007 yet on my other one. It is much easier now with 2007. My reference to maybe using a script or macro to make it easier should have said for the 2003 edition.

Another thought, is this something that could be accomplished using one of the free alternatives like LibreOffice? I don't have a copy installed, but if someone else does maybe they can answer.

This isn't a one-click solution but you can do the same thing in Excel 2003.

The article gives a step by step for both 2007 and 2003. Maybe a macro/script could make it one step??

Hi Tranglos,

I went to both your new and old sites and noticed Ethervane Radio isn't shown on either. Do you have any further updates/features planned? Not being pushy, just wondering?

Also, one of the links in your initial post is 404'ing.

I am running v 0.2.4.42. Is this the current one available?  Latest shown in the 1st post just has 0.2.4 and Feb 28 with no year.

It is working fine except for occasionally not being able to connect to a station that comes up in the search.  Luckily for me most of the ones I like ARE connecting.

My focus was on SCC and not CH+S.    My maximum area was 1000 (default?). Changed to 6000 and it's back working like a charm for images.
Ctrl+C in thumbnail (screenshot panel) copies the file so I can paste in a different location/folder/etc.  Got it.
All I'd like now is a hotkey to copy the file path. Till then I'll keep using the right-click copy path name with the mouse.

Edit:
I knew about the hotkeys tab.  I should have worded it differently. I meant how do I get the keystrokes in there.  Figured it out.
Put cursor in the line after "None" then start with (press) Ctrl or Alt and the other keys you want to assign to it. "None" is replaced with the keys. Got it.

Thanks mouser.  I understand what you mean. Ends up that neither way is working for me right now. Ctrl+C or via the menus sending anything to CH+S.
Could be I have something else running in my tray competing for the hotkey.  I'll have to work with it later & try and figure it out.

On a different topic. Are there any instructions on how to add custom hotkeys? I see in the latest ver you've already set DirectX Capture to Ctrl + Shift + Alt + X. I went through the videos, they're mentioned, but that's all I found. And help just says they can be set.

I really wish they could somehow get a forum set up. Never having done one I don't know what all is involved, but have to feel it is an undertaking. At the same time though, it could help boost visibility, customer base and support. I dropped an email question to their support back on 3/7 and haven't heard anything back yet.

I just checked RightNote's site to see whether they have started a forum. No forum yet but did notice they released version 2.4.1 today. I don't know, or was able to find on the site, what's in the release.   I won't be able to update until tomorrow but thought I'd pass this on for those that can sooner.

Screenshot Captor / Using Ctrl+C to Copy to Clipboard

I've noticed that Ctrl+C doesn't seem to be working to copy a previously taken screenshot to the clipboard.  Not a new one but an old one.
I have options set to send a new shot to the clipboard and it works fine.  It is later when I want to go back and copy a previously taken shot.
I highlight an old shot in the screenshot panel with my mouse or keyboard. If I use Ctrl+C nothing happens. But if I use Edit>Copy Image/Object to Clipboard (Ctrl+C) and click with the mouse it's copied fine. I'm sending it to CH&S and I hear the "waterdrop" sound saying it's copied plus I check and it's there.

Have I missed a setting?

It's fun to go back and look at old computer & electronics magazine articles just to see how things have changed over time. I kept some from the '70s and it's amazing.

No one has said it yet though, I'd be careful what you put on-line.  Especially if any of it is copyrighted.  While your intentions are good, too many people today try to make money the "new-fashioned" way... litigation and lawsuits. 
Just a thought.

After never having a problem over the years I've only just started seeing a "cannot empty clipboard" (or to that effect) with Excel 2003 during the past week or so.  Like you I've searched and did come up with the following forums addressing the issue.  You may have already seen them but here are the links anyway.

Online Tech Tips provides a number of things to try.

What was brought up in a couple of them is some other process hanging on to the clipboard.  Recently I've been running Clipboard Help+Spell, Ethervane Echo and Screenshot Captor at the same time. And it's since I've been running all three that I've seen the error.  So maybe it has to do with running all three at the same time. Or maybe even some other program. I did install some others during that time also. I haven't had the time to try different combinations to figure it out.  I've just been hitting ok and moving on. Most of the articles do mention it will need to be a process of elimination to determine which other program is causing it.
