fenixproductions, no problem. I do that all the time, reading long list of forum replies is not fun sometimes.

1. It might be a overkill, but I just found a extension that mimic vim's behavior in firefox. While it seems intimidating at first glance,it's actually quite good at saving screen estate and minimizing hand movement.
Only for the hardcore fans tho
http://vimperator.mozdev.org/
It is quite well documented (commands are mainly in the "various" category of the documentation) and there is a wiki too http://vimperator.cu...?title=Configuration
2. Another one I like is the secure login extension. The default password manager shipped with firefox always leave me unsatisfied. It feels somewhat awkward and insecure. The secure login extension prevents prefilling the form and can also temporally disable javascript to prevent cross-site scripting. Best of its feature, imho, is that it is much easier and snappy to use. It automatically highlight the form. You press Alt-N and it not only automatically fills it but also presses enter for you. If you have two accounts, it offers a box to select one and off you go. Very Handy!

Yeah, it's fast but could be better in the options.
Like I would like the file I'm viewing to be highlighted in the left pane.
It is displayed in the title bar though.
Can't seem to change the background color when viewing files.
But quite a plus in the range of files that can be viewed!
Text, pics, videos, web stuff...lots of things.
Quickly too.
I set the menu/options buttons to quit hiding, that was annoying.-cmpm (February 25, 2008, 10:59 AM)
I Implemented the feature last night and just published it this morning.thanks for the addition
CTRL, ALT, "S" will toggle the visibility of the snippet toolbar now.
By the way, There is another way to get snippets out of Snip-It Pro. You can publish them to Snipplr.com. Sign up for an account and enter your app ID into Snip-It Pro to enable this feature. Besides Snip-It Pro, there are plugins for Textmate and other programs that will allow you to get your snippets from Snipplr, so you won't be tied to Snip-It Pro. Snipplr is a pretty cool code snippet community, and every snippet you favorite, is viewable in Snip-It Pro.-mtelligent (June 19, 2009, 08:01 AM)
Is it possible to import text files from folders-subfolders and use them as items in InfoQube? I do not want to manually create stuff. I want to import some 800 plain text files into IQ as content.-kartal (June 19, 2009, 05:57 PM)
Hi Kartal,
It would probably be best to post that question in the IQ forum. However, all I can say is that it's not part of IQ's philosophy to import whole documents into it but, rather, link them to the database. But... it would probably be trivial for Pierre to add this option to IQ -- just ask Pierre.-Armando (June 19, 2009, 06:32 PM)
Sorry man, I think my question was not clear enough. I meant the "frost" client. Do I need to use Frost to use Freenet? Is Freenet client safe as it is, or is Frost more secure than Freenet?-kartal (June 17, 2009, 08:15 PM)
Sorry. I misunderstood.
You don't need to use Frost per sce. But Frost is what gives us all the additional features you usually get with newsgroups (messaging, discussion threads, easy file upload/download, etc.)
I probably should have mentioned that Frost now comes bundled into the current Freenet installer.
I like to read as much possible about something before I install it. If you're like me, take a look at their wiki:
http://wiki.freenetproject.org/HomePage
Especially good is their First Timer's Handbook:
http://wiki.freenetp.../FirstTimersHandBook
You'll want to look at that since it has very clear instructions on how to add friendly nodes to your network.
Hope all this was helpful.-40hz (June 18, 2009, 06:30 AM)
I must say, for a descript.ion user you did a fine job in describing my work!-DonL
I told you. I'm passionate about file managers. I've tried well over 75 of them extensively and yes, yours was one of them.
I still think descript.ions would augment tags.dat functionality without being redundant.-Innuendo (June 17, 2009, 07:29 PM)
kartal, the snippets are xml files stored in normal windows folders. When you add a snippet collection (basically a high level folder), you specify the folder location where the xml files get saved. You can even put them on network shares so teams can use the same snippets.
I can probably easily add support for a global hot key to toggle the visibility of the docking bar. I already allow you to assign global hot keys to use specific snippets. I'll let you know when that is implemented.-mtelligent (June 17, 2009, 10:46 PM)
