Yes then it means that it has nothing to do with cpu cycles. Maybe the menu library you are using has some glitched? I am not a programmer so I cannot pinpoint the issue :)

Try Ecco first, it is free by now. You can download it here

ftp://ftp.netmanage.com/support/pub/utilities/EC401/Ecco32

and here are the docs for Ecco

ftp://ftp.netmanage.com/support/pub/utilities/EC401/Doc/

Once you use Ecco you will appreciate what Sqlnotes is trying to be. Also you can also see that how good developers of Ecco was. I mean this(Ecco_ software can yet handle  today`s information keeping standards.

I had exactly the same reaction Dormouse ... SQLNotes simply baffles me and I have tried it 3 or 4 times and ended up deleting it again. I also suspect it is going to cost big time when completed!

Make that three of us, at least.

I must not be "geeky" enough!  When I last tried it the documentation wasn't quite what I need to get going with something like this. (Sorry Pierre - I just couldn't "get it"   :( )

I need something where the developer has taken care of the program stuff and added a UI that is more or less self-explanatory.

I think that it feels little unresponsive. For example if I click addressbook on the left side tabe,, it would take a sec to open the panel.  I can actually see the refresh happening while initializing the menus. I feel like seeing refreshes makes the using experience little unpleasant. For example when I type something and press enter the type box refreshes, it just makes it like it is taking time. I guess I would like little more streamlined experience. I am on quad 3.2 ghz with 8gb ram on xp64. So pc is quite new.

PPLandry, I personally think that Sqlnotes is pretty easy and straight forward. My main suggestion would be speed improvements, especially menu speeds etc.

I actually read the doc. I can create the wikilinks tag. But I am not sure about how it works.

PPLandry, it seems like wikilinks is not working? Can you give us an example of how to use it in sql notes?

Can you import outlook express native .wab format into essential pim? I hate csv conversion

1463
Sql notes can be very very efficient once it is complete. Also I suggest you to try Ecco before Sqlnotes. Ecco is quite efficient and I would say bug free.

Trust that some people have in technology is amazing . What if you loose your connection for a day or 2? I mean it is quite possible that one may forget to pay the cable bill or something beside technical blackouts. People who solely use online apps drives me nuts sometimes.

Online storage raises privacy issues as well.

My main grumble with clipmagic was frequent disconnection from clipboard. I hope it is somewhat resolved.

well he can limit amount of  time that key is pressed or not. If I am pressing 2 keys in less than .5 sec then that means  I am not trying to unhide the taskbar?

One thing thou, I use alot of win+ key combinations to run my softwares. Everytime I press on win+e or win+r for example task bar shows up too. I is it possible to limit only win key?

thanks Mouser. But ahk version somehow did not work for me. Exe works.

edit:
it did not work in my autohotkey collection script. I copied and pasted in my ahk script collection. It works fine if I run as seperate script.

I think that should be possible with "http://powerpro.webeddie.com/"

Noone is taking the challenge? :)

It looks like there is no solution to this problem. That is the dumbest overlooked thing in Windows. My problem is similar except that I suffer more in open/save dialogs.
