OS - XP SP3.

I am trying to find a way of opening images without showing anything around them, i.e. a program window.
The intention is to trigger them using a batch file.

All my attempts so far have resulted in opening the default image viewer and although I have tried several they all have a window.
The nearest I have got is a program called First Impression which just shows the file name and the image size (in % of original) as well as the image, this does disappear after a time but I would prefer not to get it, in fact I would prefer something separate from the default viewer.

One option I would like is to be able to open different images in different locations on the screen and they would need to open in their original size.

Finished Programs / SOLVED: Read DLL information in explorer.
« on: December 13, 2010, 08:25 AM »
I have never posted an IDEA before, I know nothing about programming, I have no idea if what I have in mind is possible let alone how long it would take, so bear with me.

The other week I was trying to track down some DLL's that had been left behind by a program that I had uninstalled.
I did not know their names so I waded through Windows (XP) taking the name of the software as a starting point.
Using this method I located several which I confirmed by holding the mouse over them and reading the data that shows.

I realised that this was a very poor way of doing things and I wondered if it would be possible to write a program that showed DLL information (the data that shows when you hold the mouse over them) in a column in explorer or in any other way that did not require checking each DLL one by one?

General Software Discussion / Advice on keyboard shortcuts.
« on: April 21, 2010, 05:12 AM »
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, apologies if not.

On my PC I have a program called Keyboard Tweaker which allows me to easily set any number of Hotkeys and uses very few resources.
Unfortunately it only works on full size keyboards and what I am looking for is a program that will do the same on a Netbook.
I am aware of the ability to set Hotkeys in XP but for practical reasons they need to be restricted to 2 keys, Windows uses 3.
I have looked at AutoHotkey which I learned about on these forums and I think I could probably work out how to use it but I can find no indication as to resource usage.
The majority of the Hotkeys I use are for opening programs.
I would appreciate comments from anyone who uses AHK or could suggest any other program that would meet my needs.
