You misunderstood. FARR does see the inner icon in the group (of the first alias) but it doesn't show the icon of the group itself.

Here is another example. I created a group/alias to "C:\Program Files" named pf:

1000>>>pf>->C:\Program Files

When I write "p" however, I see it without the explorer folder icon:

As you can see the "pf" groups on #2 but the icon is empty. Now if I complete the group name to "pf".

Now you can see that the name of the alias gets the icon just fine.
Now what I wish would happen is that the first alias icon would become the group icon IF the group icon has otherwise no icon.

Thanks!

This is what I mean:

For example, I am searching for Visual Studio and decide I want to assign an alias for it.
So I do "Add to group alias" (new one) and assign the alias devenv.

However, when I write "dev" I see lots of results and one of them is devenv however since this group (with one alias) has no icons, I see a blank icon.

Another solution would be to give groups with no icons the icon of their first alias.

Try the new version. It should load a LOT faster now.

The difference between .NET and using the raw Windows API functions :(

I'd like to expand my prvious idea:

When you do "Rightclick->Add to group alias" it fills the path for you but it wouldn't take the icon. So in result I have lots of aliases with empty icons.

P.S An alternative solution would be to create a folder with shortcuts, just as it is done with "cpanel".
