i doubt cue splitter splits without reencoding, as MP3DirectCut does. Definitely the best choice for the job if your source is an mp3. Generally I use foobar2000 for most audio related operations though (if your source was flac/cue, i would have recommended fb2k)

A firewall would prevent the program from connecting to the net, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Keep in mind that not all of these supports all of the PDF standards. I've had problems in the past with foxit, not supporting my dropshadows i made in inDesign. But for causal reading and work not related to print, I often prefer foxit for the faster loadtime. But its no substitute for acrobat reader

True, I'm aware that pandora and last.fm has been around for a few years. But finetune.com i just discovered recently, and with the "web 2.0"ness of it, I figured its probably pretty new.  I really like the idea of the shareable playlists you can make with em, and was hoping some more people would make and share playlists here. Doesn't seem like thats happening though  :(

For the first question, alt+number will launch the app for that number. For the second one, you have to see if your browser has some switches to allow links to be able to open in a new tab.

opera seems to use -newpage
